they look great on a pede, a similar size to the ls10.

I used to have Komodo's on a FLM Stampede I owned. They are very low profile, actually closer to 4.5" rather than 5". With using them, You should only need some wheels like this and your 17mm adapters you have:

how well do the komodo's hook up? and last? Crimefighters seem to be the fave at the track im gonnna be going to, its got a whole mix of dirt from red clay to blue groove to sandy fine stuff.

They aren't a huge difference in tread pattern versus the Crimefighters. They should work well for that kind of track though if folks are happy with Crimefighters.
