well i will thoroughly trouble shoot this on weekend coming up before i have the gruelling wait.

it only really started happening when i started paralleling my a123 packs in 5s2p config.

i paralleled my lipos with no issue but they are 11.1v opposed to 18v

i think the voltage gremlin spike is at work here.

now any config of any type of cell will run randomly then conk out, before it would run until almost flat.

my v3 shipped today also

I had a similar problem with my v2. It would run for a while and would cut out when I would try to make a top speed pass. Sometimes it would cut off completely and coast to a stop, and other times it would stutter on top... almost like the Novak lvc cut off does when your batteries get low. One time when it shut off completely I went to unplug the battery and as soon as I touched the power wires it started going through the initial beeps like I had just turned the switch on. It ended up being a bad connection in the positive 6.5 bullet connector, not the solder joint but the actual connector. I cleaned it up with a small wire brush and tightened the male bullet with a small screwdriver and all has been well since.

Here is a pic of the connector:

Just curious for those that shipped their MMMv1 and v2's back was there any special paperwork you need to send with the ESC? I'm gonna send them my v2 paperweight. :mdr:

I am guessing the address is

Castle Creatio ns, Inc.
Attention: Repair Department
235 South Kansas Avenue
Olathe, Kansas 66061

Thanks!

There is a form that you need to fill out under the Support tab on their website www.castlecreations.com , all of the instructions are on there.

OK so I am guessing its the service request form? I just want to make sure I don't accidentally get billed 70 bucks. :surprised:

Yes, that is the correct form. Make sure to send it with insurance and even tracking. USPS Priority Mail is a good bet. All Mamba Monsters will be treated as under warranty as a failure so you won't be charged.

wow i thought mine was the only one which stuttered at full speed, mine would jsut lock onto full throttle. been scared to use it at more than 80% now

Just wanted to know if we can send in our V2 for the V3? I just got it last week havent had a chance to do any test runs, but wanted to know if we could send them in even if they are working, or do I have to wait for a problem 1st?
Thanks,
Porty

Personally, I would update the firmware on your V2 and run it as is. From what I'm gathering, there is a pretty long line if you're going to send yours in.
