I had to kick back at home today. its -20 outside with a -45 windchill. Buses wouldnt start and the school said it poses a "frost bite" hazard. Cant imagine why?:neutral:

well, just an update. I ran my hyper for another 2 minutes today! seems to run really good. LOTS of power with 2650kv/4s RC-M packs. so strong it deglued one of my tires. it was so cold outside that we had sweedish fish, and they froze, and when we picked it up they shattered, along with the zipties, etc... 11 degrees, windchill of 0. not the coldest its been, but not fun at all. at least i can say my MMM never needed to run the fan once! :lol:

also, i bet i'm the first to have a pic of the 2200 and the 2650 CC neus together!

well the hyper runs great... well not so much anymore... I had let my gf drive the car around for a while... BAD MOVE! I had left my dx3 in school, so she was using my failmitter(duratrax futaba fm Tx&Rx) and it was really glitchy with the brushless setup. First bad thing is that she backed it into bens ankles at full speed and hit him wing first... whoops. then i tought her how to jump off a kicker ramp i have... slowly approach, once ur touching the ramp hit the gas, and let off once ur in the air. she jumped great for the first time using an RC. then she slowly approached the curb next to the ramp, then floored it into the curb and busted a steering knuckle!

the monster claims another part... i was running at my school the other day, chasing cars and doing speed runs and such, when i realized i have no power in the rear... i could do turns at full throttle and not flip... thats when i realized the rear left driveshaft sheered off! luckily i have another at home to put in. in other news, i made a screw down mount for my mmm as well as (finally) a working battery tray for my rcm lipos. pics below

look back at the picture... its there. black straps go along the batteries and under the tray screwed down to the chassis, and red straps go across the batteries and under the tray

well, i got a little bored, so i came up with an idea... your chasing a car down the road, but they dont notice you... aha! a horn! so i rigged my hyper with a piezo electric whistle(90dB at 12v) powered by my 4s lipos and turned on by a servo with a limit switch on it!

but i also won at the same time! i was finally taking the box outta my closet that the hyper was shipped to me in. it was a losi 8ight 2.0 box filed with peanuts. i tripped and peanuts went everywhere. then i found a whole spider center diff in there with a 46t steel spur gear on it! now i have 2 diffs, so im gonna make one be really locked and keep my spider unlocked for racing n such

edit: i now have an illuzion hyper 8 body and free jconcepts wing on its way!

Yeah, it seems that each time one of our cars brakes- both of them do within 30 seconds of one another... it has happend 3 or 4 times, and today is no different.

My truck just shut down when i landed on the roof:whistle:, then literally 10 seconds later mike hit a jump and his car stopped cold.


At first my MMM wouldnt turn on, then later it turned on but wouldnt turn off, then after a while it was fine again... time for a new switch..:neutral:

The castle on/off switches arent known for lasting to long.

Too bad about the breakage, but nice conversion. I'm jealous! I too want to get a MMM 2650 to replace the 9L on my Hyper 7.

nice the upgrade from my 8l to the mmm 2650 was well worth it. the thing flies! anyways, i removed the treads from the "faglands"(the fake badlands i got of which the rims all broke) and put em on whatever rims come with the losi 8ight 2.0. i also got my car rigged back up with the ol' MM with motor directly soldered to it. at least i can run now til my mmm comes(btw its shipped!!!!!!!)
