Unsullied_Spy 01.31.2009 04:30 PM

I won't be there on the 15th. I'm heading down around the 26th and leaving around the 1st or 2nd. My Grandpa's memorial is on the 28th, I'll see what I can do about coming to a bash though.

tuclai 02.10.2009 12:39 AM

Hey are we still on for this Sunday? What time? 10AM ok with you guys? If no bashing this Sunday, then Imma take my new heli out. Gonna be my maiden flight, so I probably wont be flying for more than 10 secs!

MetalMan 02.10.2009 01:01 AM

Well, as long as it isn't raining and isn't flooded I'm all for it. In fact I have been putting in quite a few hours this weekend on my XLB conversion - beefing up the front suspension, converting over to 6s 7400mah Lipo (2x Rhino 6s 3700mah 20C in parallel), throwing in a MMM, etc.

My Savage will be ready to go, currently waiting on a replacement CVD, replacement shock shaft, and a new body.

The Pro-4 will make it out there, but the front diff needs to be looked at, the rear sway bar will come off, and the rear suspension will be softened.

Haven't driven the Jammin' truggy in a while, after it was fixed from a prior wreck, but it'll be ready to go.

As usual my Z-Car buggy will show up, that thing is a tank...

jnev 02.10.2009 01:01 AM

As far as I know its still on... I haven't heard otherwise. All I need is a battery tray from Mike to come in, a little install work on the D8, and all three cars will be good to go.

Edit: Lets hope the rain doesn't come... worst case, everyone with a 1/8 buggy can race at OCRC...

tuclai 02.10.2009 01:03 AM

Ok cool! I guess my heli will have to wait till next week for first flight. Is 10AM ok with you guys?

jnev 02.10.2009 01:04 AM

Works for me...

MetalMan 02.10.2009 01:08 AM

I can do 10am as well, assuming it doesn't take me forever to get ready.

rawfuls 02.10.2009 01:56 AM

What heli did ya get?

I can't make it.

Both of my ESC's are acting up (GT Stock ESavage, and EVX-1)
Although I have extra EVX1/EVX2, they are NIP, and want to sell them..

Poop.

Unless somebody wants to donate me a brushless system :yipi::lol::rules::whistle:

Have fun guys!

jnev 02.10.2009 02:29 AM

I have a Mamba Max with external BEC you can borrow for the bash. Runs flawless on 4s. Has deans and 6.5mm connectors, so hopefully your motor/battery has the same...

rawfuls 02.10.2009 02:31 AM

Haha, I was kidding =/

It's un-runnable.

Besides, I wouldn't wanna let the magic-gene out anyways, in CASE.

Because this KD 700NONHo, pulls some amps.

Not alot, but it can heat up, fast.

I got Trex 450 with Futaba 14mz transmitter. Majority said the 450 is the way to go for someone thats never flown a heli before! I guess it will be cheaper to fix since I will expecting a lot of that.

I heard on the radio this morning we are expecting rain Fri, Sat and Sun. If it does rain this Sunday will we plan on the Sunday after?

rawfuls 02.10.2009 11:22 AM

This is your first heli?
Uh oh...
:P

I'd recommend going the Coaxials, then the FPs, then the CPs.

drkros3 02.10.2009 12:32 PM

im still down to go. i got my rc8 running , my gf slash is good to go. and my baja just got fixed and its all ready.

drkros3 02.10.2009 12:40 PM

oh quick question. how many drinks should i bring. like how many 12pack????

rawfuls 02.10.2009 06:01 PM

Haha.
Coaxials (Dual blades, two on bottom, and two on top. No tail motor)
Example: Lama V4; Blade mCX; Blade CX1/2/3

FP = Fixed Pitch (Much less complex than a CP [Collective Pitch] head, which means easier to fix, but much harder to learn how to fly.. Once you learn to fly a FP, rumor has it that you can fly anything)
Examples: ESky Honey Bee Fixed Pitch

CP = Collective Pitch (Inverted, you can't do this with an FP heli)
Much more complex head, but you can do inverted!
Examples: Belt CP, ESky HoneyBee CP

Get it? Not really?
Ehh

I know, way off topic, whatever :P

BL_RV0 02.10.2009 09:57 PM

Metallover 02.15.2009 06:46 PM

rawfuls 02.15.2009 07:37 PM

I tutor.

-_-

MetalMan 02.15.2009 07:38 PM

That bash was A LOT of fun! So many trucks/buggies out there. I think there were at least 6 HPI 1/5th scales out there altogether, and of course countless 1/8 and a few 1/10. LOADS of fun!

TDC57 02.15.2009 07:40 PM

It was another fantastic time out with the So-Cal gang today…:yipi:
jNev had a triple or a two an half back flip:party:, Metalman pulled off a quadruple back flips :surprised: (4 back flips before touching the ground!) Tuclia got 2-3 corkscrews out of his Bad ass 1/5 scale HPI.:intello: Bl-Rvo showed up with a few builds, I completely destroyed my battle truck in many many tiny pieces :lol: We were getting 20”+ in the air off jumps..:gasp:. ect. Etc.. Probably had about 10-12 guys with about 30 trucks total.. We cooked up 18 burgers 15 dogs. Rschoi let some local kids drive one if build and they broke it within minuets, we met some cool local guys and spanked there nitro’s all day.. LOL.LOL..

And I don’t think anyone still has a working / functional build at this point.. :na:
I’ll post video and pictures later tonight. I need a shower..

Thanks again for everybody showing up!!! HAD A BLAST!!!!

So-Cal ROCKS!!!!!!!

Metallover 02.15.2009 07:42 PM

I want pic and vid.

rawfuls 02.15.2009 07:45 PM
