I just need pics of your setup... The rs pro is a sensored esc mainly, build for racers. I am thinking since reverse isn't allowed in most racing that the esc might not have it? I really don't know what else it could be.

Awesome, I also have a hyper 7 and want to start a conversion. I'll enjoy reading this thread tomorrow.

OP, where did you get that motor mount?

Which one is it? Just the Hyper 7 mount?

It's more helpful to post your pics in the thread so nobody has to navigate around to find it. Just a thought.

edit- I realized your pics are too big. When you upload them limit the file size. Then post them directly in the post. With the pictures you alread have, this is how I would do it.

I'll get to resizing them sometime today.

its a hyper 7/8/st mount, as far as I know, brian would know more...

and to conferm your observations, yes that is duct tape, I ran out of heatshrink...

I won an auction on ebay that had a 2 speed set for the H7, would it be worth it to install it? the

buggy probably isn't going to see any track time... anyone know the stock tooth counts on it?

whitrzac 03.26.2009 04:49 PM

i guess the 2 speed is out of the question now, it needs mecanical brakes.

True, you will have to run mech brakes...

whitrzac 03.26.2009 10:14 PM

what about this slipperential thing majig? how much $$??

whitrzac 03.27.2009 09:50 AM

what do you guys recommend to attach the esc to the buggy??:gasp:

Metallover 03.27.2009 10:30 AM

I use this super velcro stuff you can get a menards and radio shack. It is like the non-furry side of regular velcro on both sides. It holds the esc on like no ones business. I would do that and a ziptie if you could.

I got some of that stuff, its clear, right?? I had a problem with it not sticking to the esc and were I want to mount it:grrrrrr:

Metallover 03.27.2009 01:51 PM

The stuff is called 3m dual lock. It holds everything for me. You need a screwdriver to get it apart. I have seen it clear... Mine is black. If it doesn't stick to your esc, you can use some ca glue to hold it on. Make sure you're not trying to stick it to regular velcro too.
