That's my dilemma .... But I ordered 2x2s 20C 1600mah lipos...gonna series it for runtimes and then parallel for speed runs....if this is not what I want I'll be ordring 3s...either way it's not a huge dent in the wallet...get both and see what you like or which ones fit ..thas wha I'm doing..

I purchased (2) 1300mah 2s 25C Zippys to run in parallel for mine thinking tons of run time and nice light BALANCED weight, at 8.00 each who's to say thats wrong ?
I'm still waiting on the Dam truck ?

Think you got that backwards - series is for speed (series adds the voltage together) parallel is for runtime (parallel adds the capacity, or mah together)

I'd try a larger capacity single 2S lipo before you jump to a parallel configuration. My single 2S 1800mAh kicks butt!

So why not put two of those in, and get double the runtime?

Because I have 4 packs. Why weigh down the vehicle needlessly instead of just stopping for a minute to change the pack?

I'll be running mine in parallel just to make life easier for the batteries, splitting the load. I'm sure one can handle it by itself, but it'll be even easier with two.

That and I hate stopping to change packs.

My bad series power parallel runtime...copy that :)

But I don't ever have to hassle with trying to balance multiple packs to be used together for mine.

Good point. I am used to sync charging packs with my Hyperion Duo, so I'll just always treat the pairs as one pack like I do with my larger E-Revo packs.

I'm attempting to temporarily fix the a-arm myself using a trick my friend told me about today: Glue the two pieces together. Wrap the break tightly with dental floss. Glue the dental floss to the break. It's worth a shot I guess to get by until replacement parts come around.

JUST GOT MY MINI REVO TODAY!!!!!!!!!YAY!!!!! couple questions....i can't get it to wheelie for crap but it accelerates like a bat out of hell keeping all 4 wheels to the ground... (yes i tightened the slipper.....yes i am only running 2s.....) but it kinda feels like the throttle is kinda sluggish for like a 1/2 second....do any of your feel that way?....this thing is a pretty cool backyard basher....just big enough to monster truck over rocks and just small enough to enjoy in your backyard... :)

kulangflow 06.22.2009 01:14 AM

hootie, when I'm running a 6 cell NiMH by itself, it sags right at first before accelerating rapidly. When I run two 6 cells in parallel, it wheelies like nobody's business. I'm thinking your battery might not be providing the current demanded. Just a thought anyway.

In related news, I was able to temporarily fix my broken a-arm by creating a "cast" around the breaks using super-glue and strips of paper towel. It works surprisingly well. Good times!

thanks bro!!! i'm actually just running it with the stock battery....and just 1 2s 20C 800mah flightmax lipo (it supposed to be used in my srb quark but i couldn't resist!)...i'm guessing once my 2s 1600mah 20C zippy get here i'll be a wheelie machine .. :)
