Sounds good to me. I think you should either sell that Big Maxximum to me, or put it to use in that G3R instead of the Neu. :mdr:

Also, I just finished designing a hub, but its still rough and was just guesses as far as the measurements go, but its close enough for tonight. I'll post a screenshot in a sec.

Its just rough and I haven't done the threads for the wheelnut yet, but I'll probably finish it up tomorrow. I allowed 5mm for the disc, and 8mm for the wheel hub, but thats far to much I think. I'll do some measuring tomorrow to see whats actually needed adjust it.

Much appriciated. I actually added the threads to it, but for some reason eMachineShop won't render threads? Just a small circle floating in the center...If anyone is interested in a set, the more I price the order at, the cheaper they are, so if anyone is interested, let me know and if I go through with them I can order more to lower the price.

Edit: Keep in mind that I'm designing these for my BPP LSP with 8mm axles and my Revo which I'm gonna go with the Tekno 8mm axles on, so just keep that in mind if your interested in a set. Perhaps Mike could machine them cheaper than the quote I'm getting from eMachineShop.

Hello...I got my eagle eyes locked on this .

I knew that....lol. My only concert is a solid way to mount the calipers on the LSP. I have the 22* buggy hubs which leaves even less ways to mount them. :whip:
If I do have a couple sets made, you would be at the top of the list, but that would require you to do the 8mm axle conversion, which I'm guessing you probably haven't.

Not yet, but I got all the parts for the 8mm axle conversion. I haven't messed with my BPP as I'm having fun with my Mr. C MBX5T. I'll be watching to see what you come up with though lol.

Hows that. :mdr: Again, no real measuring, just guess work, but fine tuning the dimensions is the easy part. The little floating disk indicates a threaded portion (for the wheelnut). For some reason eMachine Shop is retarded and won't render threads. :whip:

If someone with a very accurate digital caliper could help me out, I'd greatly appreciate it. I need measurements of the outside of a 8mm axle off a buggy or truggy (I'm sure its probably not a true 8.00mm), measure the outside of a 17mm hub, and if someone knew what threads they were, it would be great. :mdr: I think its M16 1.5mm pitch but maybe not...

Me? I would be afraid to mess it up lol. Most of my stuff is somewhere in the basement where they usually stay throughout the winter. The drawing looks good and I'm sure someone will know the exact measurements.

Hey guys i have an update on the build here are some pics

http://i705.photobucket.com/albums/w...0/DSC00005.jpg

It wasn't easy but i managed to shove a 1527 1Y in there. So far testing on 6s looks very promising. Next in line for future mods are motor mount mod, i need to make it a little thinner so the pinions have more shaft to bite onto, and i may also convert to 1/8th shocks as the packs get bigger and heavier. Its the only draw back from doing an all out revo build. You are eventually limited by how much sprung mass the stock shocks and springs will support.

suicideneil 03.27.2010 07:15 PM

1527? You plannng on launching it off a ramp & into obrit?

Look forward to sering it running

Kcaz25 03.27.2010 10:06 PM

Looks great! I like neil can't wait to see it run. Should make some BIG power.

Nard Cox 03.28.2010 04:47 AM

X3 on the above. That is totally sick !! That thing can practically fly.

Manne 03.28.2010 03:05 PM

Awsome build man, truely impressing, havenīt ever seen anything near it! keep up the good work:)

Thanks for the kind words guys

Dude...that's a LOT of motor. So how many car lengths behind is the space shuttle when you guys race to the ISS?

They prefer shuttle lengths (they get a bit sensitive otherwise)

But seriously i just did an 8s test, and here are the temps

Speedy 130F-140F
Motor 135-145F
Packs 104F

Eagle tree says max amps was 95.78 Max watts was 2542 :surprised: and maximum volt drop from 33.31 was to 26.13 and that is with flight power packs:gasp:

Geared 17/44=55Mph on grass. The truck will spin the wheels at full throttle anything over half is pointless

What do you guys think is this too hot, i am always up in the air when it comes to temps, it feels hot but the gun says its not too bad. the ambient temp is 95F. I know this sounds crazy but am i under geared???? Should i run the same gearing on 6s for about 40Mph, on 8s the motor is doing 37000rpm

SV6000 03.29.2010 04:23 AM

Tested same gearing on 6s and temps were about 10F cooler, but motor was till up around 130F. Amps were also up around 116A. Will try 8s and higher gearing, have a feeling the motor is under geared and wants to be about 18-20t. that will put speeds up between 58-65mph. if i get bad results i will run it on 6s and gear up for speed according to temps and amp data. I dont think testing on grass is giving it any help either especailly with the caliber tyres. I may have to get a set of tires that will bite into the grass better to stop the wheel spin, or try some testing on concrete

Kcaz25 03.29.2010 08:05 AM

ViDeO

suicideneil 03.29.2010 03:05 PM

Those temps are excellent really- motor and esc are about equal meaning ( in principle ) you have a good balance & equalibriam of speed/power/gearing etc.

The voltage drop does seem too bad- if that was recorded at the start of the run then its 4.2v > 3.2v per cell; a large-ish drop but then, its a large motor.. :mdr:
