It may not be 100 but that's still FAST! Good job, keep it up!

emaxxnitro 09.06.2009 09:41 AM

thanks! yeah its still a little slower than i would like but its now beaten my rustlers record of 80 and blew away my erevos 74mph

emaxxnitro 09.06.2009 10:13 AM

Wow! i didnt saw the thread had new post! (i normaly have email notifications...)

Congrats for those who got 100 mph too!

Nice looking buggy emaxxnitro!

Im sure you will get in the high 90s soon :)

The foam looked like to hook well, id say it really depend the pavement used, on the last place we used it was wheel spinning with a "nitro" buggy over 65mph, we went up to 77mph with an OS28 at that time....

we were so happy! now it look slow... :mdr: hehe

My friend sold his buggy.....:surprised: his really a compulsive buyer(not sure if its how you call that in english) he see something new and get it, sell the other etc...

He ordered the 28t and 30t pinion , didnt received them yet and sold the buggy... lol

Im sure he will buy another one if someone post a vid going 100+mph with their buggy LOL!!

We got 96mph with the 1515 1.5D (2700kv) may be it draw more current?
thats the last test we did....

Good luck guys!

:)

yeah i know people like that too  they get new cars and sell them a week after the get them.
yeah im going to try the access road out on interstate 10 later also pick up my XT8
these foams are amazing! no wear after 10 runs FTW

emaxxnitro I thought it was interesting when I put your setup in the brian g calculator it comes up with the same 87.3 mph. I wasnt sure about the diffs so I just put in buggy diffs I think the mugen diffs are higher ratio. I cant wait to get my custom made foam tires.

Hi guys,

Ive been testing my friend's buggy for speed in past weeks, the best we got from it was 100mph,

we need a bigger pinion than 25tmod1 , if anyone know where i can get one or get one fabricated for me let me know!

We have tried 2 different 10S esc and they both had something wrong...
so we would need a slightly taller gearing, like a 28T pinion...

emmaxxnitro what are the front and rear diff gear ratios? What batteries & specs? I was also told by Nic Case when using the calculator use 3.00 volts instead of 3.7 volts per cell. I guess thera is a reason for this maybe under a load the voltage drops.

suicideneil 09.07.2009 06:47 PM

I imagine the voltage drops more under these kind of loads compared to a normal setup geared for more normal speeds, even with top-notch lipos for power.
