I never had a hard time rebuilding shocks or diffs. I always use naptha to clean the old silicone oil from the shocks or diffs, wash it denatures alcohol and air dry them using my compressor.

you actually clean out the old oil!!??:surprised:
i never do that, i thought it was too hard, so the best i do is cycle the piston up/down a lot and stick a rag in there as far as i can to get as much as i can out. then continue with the rest of the re-building.

I've never been as thorough as either of you. Mine just sit upside down for a while. Now that I think about it. I haven't rebuilt too many shocks, changed the fluid on a lot of them. but not too many complete rebuilds under the belt.

"well not sure, but quite a lot, so no problem and I would like to race on top level, so really seriously" ok so you link him 500$ truggy, 300$ radio and 300$ combo... no batteries or servo... they send you back a link to chinese RTR combo 1/8 truggy for 300$ with a "I guess this is looking about the same, but way cheaper, what do you say?" grrr

If I had a £ for everytime I've been asked or seen questions like that... :no:

Tried them once, I didn't lose any body clips but the silicone was shot in a week. I can buy a lot of body clips for $5

shaunjohnson 12.10.2009 12:29 AM

i just got the biggest clips i could find, the venom ones, straightened the kink they had in the end and it's been nearly 2 years and ive only gone through one pack of 10.
lost them then found them cause of their bright colour:lol:

[LIST=1]
When i just can't get the balanced plug hooked up and the charger keeps going nuts on me telling me that the voltage is too low:slap:.[LIST=1]
2= When a big a** MT parks right in the middle of the track, and then complains when i split the chassis braces, break an a-arm, and put a crack in both wheels on that side. (the dummy didn't come back, thank God).
  1. Having 50 people at the track and no one has zip-ties except me and everyone needs one:whip:.
  1. Can't really complain about anyone at my track, well except for a guy named Cruiser(he is the only one that doesn't except brushless) and even the kids can drive good, and there isn't very many stupid questions asked.
