Remix, The 80 amp mgm should handle the xl2400 on 12 cells with no troubles. 30 mph shouldn't be any trouble, either.

I just want to double check for clarification, since I just remembered you tellling me that it would have troubles with the 10L on 12 cells, what has made you change your mind? Just wondering, as I'd rather spend $200 than have smoking esc on my hands. If it would be easier on the esc. and I could still hit 30 mph on a 2000xl w/ 12 cells, I might try that.

The 10L will draw more current than the lehner basic 2400. It may well handle the 10L, but it would be working hard. The xl2400, however, is pretty easy on controllers.

Thats great news to hear! Do you think running a controller in two cars would be hard on it? If the plugs on the controller wear out I can replace those easily, but the lehner motor plugs look like they are in there for the long run.
