I think that should do fine if you wire it inline with only one of the packs. The current draw through one pack will be the same as the whole system, just the voltage will reflect as half. No biggie. :)

jhautz 01.29.2007 09:10 PM

Can you find a delrin spur for it? That might have a better chance of holding the power.

coolhandcountry 01.29.2007 09:23 PM

I was thinking of trying renes trick. Put two spurs on with an extra long pinion
from mike. Have twice the gear mesh. That should hold. Just need to make
sure gearing is where I want it. I am thinking of going 10s lipo so lighter to.
Maybe a little less power but can't run wide open now.

jhautz 01.29.2007 09:29 PM

on that 12s setup you need to be careful not to grab the wrong wire. You might electrocute yourself :005: Damn! 50V peaked packs. Thats a little unnecessary. But very Leroy.:D

coolhandcountry 01.29.2007 09:34 PM

Yeah It is a power house for sure. I think it may have more potential than i seen in the 2250 on 26. That was a power house to. I may try another spot with better ground and get a vid man on camera. See if can get a full speed all out run. :)

Sylvester 01.29.2007 10:03 PM

Yea, the 2250 on 26 is a lot of power, but a ton of weight, so it wont be anything compared to 12s on a 1950.

gixxer 01.29.2007 10:27 PM

wow that is fast, especially for such a big truck.

coolhandcountry 01.29.2007 11:11 PM

The 2250 was accually on a smaller lighter truck. I am running 1.4 kg of batts.
:D

Promod 01.29.2007 11:41 PM

What is the total weight of the truck?

Thank you,
Promod

cadima 01.31.2007 11:18 PM

hey country! First time viewing this thread. WOW! Wicked truck you have there. I'm pretty sure now you're insane, though. You definately got the sickness going on there. Good work.

coolhandcountry 02.01.2007 07:38 PM

I haven't had a chance top weight it out yet. I will get a weight for you promod.

Well Promod rubbed off on me some cadima. I wanted to be just like him.
Fast and alot of power on rc.

I understand this now, that's a very cool trick. So basicly you are doubling the surface area for the pinion/spur.

EDIT: Just had another thought, what is dual spurs like with acceleration? If there is double the surface area, so double the rotational mass, would it effect it much (no doubt your setup wouldn't have a problem thoguh). I'm thinking of closing a door by pushing near the hinges here - if that makes sense. :)

coolhandcountry 02.01.2007 08:31 PM

Yes is double the surface area. It is not accuall double the friction cause each sq mm of space has less force applied to it then. I don't think it should
have a problem. Besides the spurs are plastic. :)

very funny serum, that's nice, but i think there was 5 planateers....i believe...

power, each identifies with one of the four ancient elements: Earth, Fire, Water, Wind and a very special new power, Heart, which symbolizes the compassion needed to save the Earth. ......man do i feel old now.....thanks serum, leroy your freaking NUTS man...

Serum 02.04.2007 10:24 AM

Yep, water was missing..

It was Gi, from Asia! (with the power of water)

Captain PLANET!
getting old of age, brains are messing up on me every single time.. Either that, or a complete lack of interest..

sjcrss 02.04.2007 11:35 AM

I think it is both...lol

Serum 02.04.2007 12:27 PM

Nah, i love the planeteers.. Must be my mind playing tricks on me..

coolhandcountry 02.04.2007 12:32 PM

If things go right. I will try another video today. I hope it last. I am going to bigger more open area. Hopefully will see what this thing will do.

Sylvester 02.04.2007 12:53 PM

Cant wait to see it run again Leroy! :)

BP-Revo 02.04.2007 01:03 PM

Wow I just watched the vid and that thing is INSANE. Ever though about getting into the 100mph at the world's fastest speed challenge? LOL

coolhandcountry 02.04.2007 07:58 PM

I got another clip today. I wish had a better camera. Oh well!

Sylvester 02.04.2007 08:15 PM

Good vid leroy. Was that 1/2 throttle or wot?

jnev 02.04.2007 08:53 PM

Nice. Didn't seem as much power as before. But still really nice none-the-less.

crazyjr 02.04.2007 10:26 PM

got to think, thats on gravel and dirt, the first one was on concrete

coolhandcountry 02.04.2007 10:59 PM

both was on dirt larry. The batteries was never charged between videos. I was bumping the lvc. Oh well. I had fun. I am still debating on going 10s for lighter weight. It just seems so heavy.

Sylvester 02.05.2007 09:35 AM

What you think it weighs leroy.. 18+lbs.. ;)

Maybe you should try 10s lipo for one run and see how you like it.

coolhandcountry 02.05.2007 10:08 AM

I put it on scale today. It is 15lbs with batts.

Sylvester 02.05.2007 10:17 AM

That is a good bit of weight on that GTX2 leroy! Give 10s a try!

neweuser 02.05.2007 10:48 AM

Very nice Leroy! It's coming along nicely. Did you get the spur issue resolved? I think 10s would work good. It may even be atad more dependable with a tad LESS voltage. But the power of 12s looks so good! :)

coolhandcountry 02.05.2007 04:35 PM

I don't know about resolved but it lasted for video. :)

coolhandcountry 05.14.2007 03:10 PM

UPDATE:
Was out testing new stuff.
Only had 9s limn on truck at time.
The esc issue started to worsen.
Had no mid range what so ever. It was either slo or wide freakin open.
Was about ready to quit when truck stopped.
Small puff come from esc. The more smoke started coming from motor.
From what I can tell my bk and lmt motor is now junk.
Project hi voltage is on back burner for now.
Maybe come 6s truck.

neweuser 05.14.2007 03:13 PM

Man, that is not good! Sorry to hear man! Was that the 36120?

coolhandcountry 05.14.2007 03:44 PM

YUP!! Sure was. The micro 36120. It is now toast.
It has never been right since day one.

rchippie 05.14.2007 03:59 PM

Leroy im sorry for your loss .

zeropointbug 05.14.2007 04:48 PM

9s, wow. That would be nice, if it would work.... sounds like MGM's are chain smokers. :005:

Sorry to hear that, high voltage should be quite easy on stuff usually, apparently not.

I would really stay on top of BK. I had to constantly email them. They tried to blame the dealer, I then told them that the dealer has done everything he could to fix the issue with no resolve as well. I talked to a superviser at BK at this point and they SAID they are going to replace the esc, but we will see if I ever receive it! Can we say SCHULTZ!

zeropointbug 05.14.2007 06:11 PM

Do they still make that Shulze maxx esc? It looked like a MM. i think it was 100 amp or more, was that thing ever any good?

What about using the Kontronik Power 63V? It is very well built, they even claim it's indestructible. :027:

Aragon 05.14.2007 06:28 PM

Power Jazz has no proportional braking.

I'm going to be running a Jazz 55-10-32 on my 10S X1CR...

The main problem with high voltage is the lack of a reputably good car controller. :(

coolhandcountry 05.14.2007 07:57 PM

I still got a schulze 18.97kwf. It was a good esc and still going.
It is a few years old now. But it won't go as hi on volts.
