I think that I want to Stick with the Traxxas connectors because that’s what I have on all my RC’s.
|
If you want original Traxxas ones I think Ebay may be your best chance?
There are loads of aftermarket ones, I do not think you will notice much difference in normal loads? |
Yes. I just bought some knock-offs. Just wasn’t sure if they were worth my time. What do most people use nowadays? I’m going with “Traxxas connectors because that is what I have on all my cars. Thanks for the reply!

Alright, I just soldered knock off Traxxas connectors on 5 brand new lipos. I forgot how much I hate those. I honestly think I’m ready to convert to another connector. What are the best options? I want something that is reliable and easy to solder pros and cons of each.
Thanks in advance, Mike. |
These days, pretty much everyone & their uncle is running XT60 connectors- they are basically bullet connectors in a plastic molding ( kinda like EC5 connectors, only you don't have to assemble them ). Most good retailers should carry them, though check hobbyking and the larger stores first- avoid the cheap ones on ebay as they tend to use cheaper plastic that melts when you solder them ( like Deans connectors... ugh... ).

Neil, good to see that you are still around! Is there a better choice between XT60 and XT90's? I was thinking XT60s.
|
XT60s are plenty large enough for 1/8 scale trucks- the 90s are good for 1/5 scale.

Got it. Thanks!

Hey guys, I think I just trashed one or both my front and rear differentials on my second (orginal) E-maxx. Just to recap, I have standard FLM bulkheads with Unlimited Engineering differential housing and I think Ofna six differential internal gears. Is there a chance in hell to get new gears or can I use the stock differentials with the FLM bulkheads? It's been so long I can't remember.
Thanks guys, Mike. |
Yeah, stock diffs & housing ( 3906/3905/3908 etc ) will fit FLM bulks. There are still options to replace the trashed UE diff internals... don't remember what they are but check out the various facebook groups, plenty of guys experimenting with diff options these days.

I think I had Ofna six gears if memory serves.
