What about in the air though? Guess I'll go get it dirty if the track dries out today and report back.
|
Ok, went to the track. No nose diving, absolutley awesome motor. Perfect speed on 4s 6000mah geared 15/48, 20-21 minutes. Highest temp was 160 deg at the 20 minute mark.
Was thinking this would be awesome on 5s with a 13 tooth pinion, now to find a 5s that will fit under the body and yield a 20 minute run time. |

Medusa 80mm motor
So anybody tried running the Medusa 80mm 2000kv motor? Any good or bad things for this motor. I'll be putting this on the Lst2, maybe 6S on MMM V3. thanks.
|
Probably wrong thread but maybe someone with more knowledge and experience can answer this. What would be a more efficient motor, Medusa 60mm 2000kv or Tekno Neu 1515/1/Y/F (2200kv)? Medusa geared with a 15 tooth pinion, Neu with a 13 tooth pinion on 4s.

Ok, thanks. I have ran about five packs on the Medusa and love it. Now to find a 5s that will give me 20 minutes and fit under the D8 body. I'm thinking the Hyperion 4350mah would be enough, but not sure. My Polyquest 4s 6000mah gives exactly 20 minutes. |
80mm Medusa
Thanks for the info unsullied Spy. I have a 1527 1D 2200kv Neu but have problems with ESC burning up, Now I bought a 22418 MGM but I'd like to put a MMM and the 80 mm Medusa in it.

What sort of amps are we talking about, for the 2000kv 80mm medusa on 6s? I've got one of those ordered, but I'm going for longer run times, not crazy insane speed, so should I see if Medusa can change it to a 1600kv?

I'm not sure exactly how many amps, and it all depends on your gearing (you pull a lot more with taller gearing). If you would prefer longer run times the 1600KV would be a better option. I wish I had ordered it instead, but I got the 2,000 so I'm just going to deal with it. It's not bad or anything, but the 1600 would be better (I'm currently stuck with 4s lipo, so it's kinda a good thing I got the 2000). |
Yea, I'm in the same boat. I was going to run 5S LiPos which is why I initially ordered the 2000kv, but having read up I think I'll get a bunch of 3s 4000/5000mah packs and run 6s packs.

How is it compared to other data loggers? Where can I see a screen shot of the software? Thanks |

Specs are good, I think they're comparable to a EagleTree. I've heard that the resolution is really good on them, better than an EagleTree. Not sure where to find a screenshot of the software. |
