The Monster Max will be silicone conformal coated and will have a full case, however, it does have a fan -- so it will not be submersible. It will be water resistant.

Long winded update :)

Well here it is in all its glory.

I had to put Outdrives and seals in my center diff, and came to find this.. a broken crosspin, Last rebuild i had noticed alot of wear on them but thought nothing of it, glad I bought some new pins from amain.

-Screw kit, Well worth what I paid for it, all hardened steel screws, and literaly every screw i need for the truck.
http://i152.photobucket.com/albums/s...6091542_01.jpg

-wheels and tires, Hats off to AKA, the tires were immaculate from the factory, no burrs on the bead- they were perfect! Came in ziplock resealable bags Also the foams are a very stiff Closed cell type, I drilled vent holes in my rims but dont really hear air coming out when i squeeze the tire...Oh well. Nex up are the Rulux Half-ups in standard offset, also very well made- No burrs any where, or knicks or scratches.

Next up is the body... And boy is there a story behind it..... While painting my first layer of purple pearl, i left the body outside in the sun for literally 5 minutes to let the paint tack up, In that time it went from being sunny and clear to raining! Rain effed up one of my side graphics.... Secondly the tape i used is CRAP! Never use tamiya masking tape it does not stick well to lexan... you can tell where the tape was not stuck by all the bleed marks... Overall Im not too happy with the paint...

Schweet!

Looks great except for that paint. If you have any nitro left from your nitro days, you can use that to get the paint off the body, doesn't do anything to the lexan like other chemicals do, and IIRC Castrol Super Clean will work too.

brushlessboy16 04.07.2009 07:03 AM

Yea I wish I could without ruining the rest of the paint...
AH well, you live and learn... and I dont think it will matter that much when it sees the dirt :)

Metallover 04.07.2009 08:11 AM

You may think the painjob is bad but when it's outside going down the road no one will notice it.

Takedown 04.07.2009 08:56 AM

Looks cool.

jhautz 04.07.2009 09:10 AM

Looks good Ben!

The most important thing to remember about mistakes in paint is that a strategically placed sticker will fix it almost every time. :mdr:

brushlessboy16 04.07.2009 09:55 AM

I say screw it, gives the truck character :). Added a few RCM stickers, an and aka sticker..
If anyone bitches about it they can just buy me a new body and paint it them self.

brushlessboy16 04.16.2009 07:16 PM

Well more parts broken. The Castle 2200 has definately found all the flaws in my drive train. This time it was a diff output cup on my rear diff.
http://i152.photobucket.com/albums/s...0410091326.jpg

I Attempted to run a hyper 7 diff output in the truck but it was too short and the dogbone would pop out with any suspension movement.. So The closest i could find were the outputs from a savage x. they claim to be hardened steel (I sure hope so) and are the same size as the stockers, so i wont have to wory about the axle popping out.
