kaz, did you already get your brakes mounted? did you run into issues? its just one thing after another with these? i need to purchase some extended hexes cuz now the wheel hits the carbon disc before it even gets tightened down all the way. also the wheel hits the calipers so i need to grind out a little bit of material off the caliper or the wheels.
speaking of wheels i got my new outlaw 5t rims and hostile mxt tires today. they are sick! as for the esc i am sure it works but i still havent got it all hooked up. here are some pics of the new wheels/tires. and i think i am gonna stick with the rampage truck body instead of the desert rat 5t body. the ramp body is so much more aero-dynamic and i think will just be a bettery body. plus the desert rat body is kinda hideous. if the hpi 5t body wasnt so long i would use that. i like that body a lot. <a href="http://s471.photobucket.com/albums/rr77/ryujames/?action=view¤t=DSC01422.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i471.photobucket.com/albums/rr77/ryujames/DSC01422.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a> <a href="http://s471.photobucket.com/albums/rr77/ryujames/?action=view¤t=DSC01423.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i471.photobucket.com/albums/rr77/ryujames/DSC01423.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a> <a href="http://s471.photobucket.com/albums/rr77/ryujames/?action=view¤t=DSC01424.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i471.photobucket.com/albums/rr77/ryujames/DSC01424.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a> |
Yes. No, other than the binding I told you about.
I did discover that a 200 ounce servo pushing cable brakes seems a lot weaker than a 200 ounce servo running the stock Rampage brakes. Wheels and tires look good. I worked on soldering my battery connectors some tonight. I discovered that slip on pencil erasers make a perfect cover for 6mm bullet connectors. |

http://www.davesmotors.com/s.nl/c.88...t.A/id.6349/.f these uberRC hexes extend by 8mm which is perfect but they only sell them in a set so i would have to drop $200 and then try to sell the fronts. d4mn. didnt really feel like doing that. <a href="http://s471.photobucket.com/albums/rr77/ryujames/?action=view¤t=uberRC.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i471.photobucket.com/albums/rr77/ryujames/uberRC.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a> |

Dude, that looks dead sexy. I'm not sure about the yellow lid though- I think metallic gray would look great.

go to your cnc shop and ask them to build them. thats done in a few minutes, probably cheaper then buying some. get a 24mm aluminium hex bar and get it drilled.
dammn, I can't wait to see that baby runnin'! |

A great mind and one that has a spark of "oh that might be good" (me) think alike! |
That 3/8 aluminum that I got for my new motor mount sure was hell on jig saw bladed. I went through 4!
I have both motor mount cut out and shaped. I drill & tapped 1 last night and I am headed out to do the other one now. I bench tested my motor and ESC yesterday. The 10S sure did make a hell of a big arc when I hooked it up. |
Kaz- you should look into doing this-

i am definitely going to do that. my bullets on my truggy are pitted like a 16 yr old pimple-faced freak. i about shat myself when i connected my 10s to the hydra240. just wondering though, the scriptasylum says not to use this technique with the castle mamba controllers. do you think it will be ok to do on the hydra controller?
