I finally got to see one of these in real life, Cool little truck, Smaller than i thought it would be. I plan to get one and convert it using the RC-Monster parts, Is the spur for the diff 32 pitch or mod-1? I know its plastic, If 32 pitch, Would it be able to handle a Lehner 1200 basic XL and a 5s lipo?

Thanks for answering

The spur is a cnc machined Delrin mod.8 - they are quite rugged. No problem handling a Lehner Basic motor(I run mine on a Tekin 1900Kv buggy system with 4s or 5s).

I have the conversion kit and have a question. There are two holes in the bottom aluminum plate that goes on the chassis. There are two holes in the plate that line up with holes in the chassis. The holes in the plate are NOT threaded so there is no way to use a screw and the kit did not include bolts. I cannot tell from other peoples pictures if there are screws there or not.

I have marked the attached picture so you can see what I am talking about.

Thanks,

I used a couple of lock nuts there. It's hard to see detail, but here's a view of mine:

is the mmm and 2200 overkill for this conversion, or would the 2650kv cc motor a better fit, or even the cc clearence 1800 motor 1.5 turn?

would i be req to run a 4s batt as well? just trying to get a general idea. I want to run it in a sct class. i've read quite a bit on the forum, just looking for a quick non-confusing answer :)

thanks guys

I would grab ahold of a 1512 1800kv while you can. I,m really happy with it in my TenT.

BrianG 10.16.2010 06:59 PM

Yeah, the 2200 would be overkill IMO. The 1512 size motors are perfect; plenty of power and stay cool while not being overly heavy.

At my track we an only run 1/10 scale motors so a 550 size is as big as it gets. 2 cell...... see what your local track alows! :oh:

bigh8840 11.05.2010 07:02 PM

so with the 1512 do i have to run a 4 cell?
or would 3 be ok....etc..

I run 4s with the 1512 and love it

With Bryan's help I've decided to build a 10T myself. I read the first few pages of BrainG's thread when it first started but was distracted with other things, now the more I read and research on this RC the more I want one. Will be selling one of my E-Revos to fund this new build, can't wait !

Already decided on a 1800kv 1512,MMM and possibly 3s, maybe 4s depends how the power to weight ratio is on the track with buggy tires ?

bryan 11.27.2010 03:52 PM

Thats good news J !! I dont think you will be a bit disapointed with the Ten. It's my favorite R/C of the heard

GO-RIDE.com 12.02.2010 06:53 PM

Hey Bryan,

How do you think a 810E buggy (Ten-T in buggy trim) would run with a Tekin SC4X 3400 motor & RSPro ESC on 3S. I'm looking at building a light 1/8E buggy for indoors and saving weight on the motor/esc/lipo would help a lot.
