I'm feeling that way. I ordered @ 10am EST 9am Central, on day 1. I am going through major Revo withdrawal looking at it sit in the corner of my den every night smelling of fried Quark.. lol

I succumed to fate last night night and ordered mine through Tower (couldnt resist with the $20 off coupon). Wonder how long till their orders are filled....oh, well, I got time.
To start, I'm just going to run it with my old trusty Fiego 10L, and I'm still only running NiCd.
Just for clarification, this does not require a U-Bec, correct?

i just called, after 20 min of ring ring ring ring ring they finally picked up. said they are doing all they can. unfortunately i am hungover, brain wasn't working or i would have asked why people ordered last week and have the shipping info and i was the 2nd one and i haven't heard anything....

guess its just life.

Correct, the Castle BEC is built in.

finfin 05.06.2008 11:45 AM

sorry. what is the 1st day for pre-order?

DickyT 05.06.2008 11:50 AM

I got an email from CC saying that they have shipped a package to me. If they managed to ship it out using my desired shipping option, we're looking at 1 week eta my place. This is mind boggling indeed. Time to work hard on cleaning my savage to accommodate the Monster.

Regards,
Joe Ling

I just spoke with Christy, she said she is doing the best she can to get them out as soon as possible. the apparently are not doing FIFO (first in first out) but did confirm tat she had my order and billing information! the Revo will only sit for another ???? amount of days!

Maybe it is time to pull the fried Quark out of it and throw it away since I seem to not be able to get any type of service on it.

Hat's off to Castle for their great support, at least I feel comfortable knowing that if I have an issue with the Monster it will have a place in the US to go to that has a great reputation.

My revo has eaten 2 esc's so far, lets see if this Monster is up to the task!

Now I just have to wait for round 2 of these, when retailers have normal stock to buy one from Mike as well to have as a spare or perhaps another project.

Well, if you're just gonna throw it away, I'd take it off your hands. Might make a nice little project.

A switching regulator is built in. We unfortunately couldn't put the CC BEC in there. 5.5v fixed output I believe.

Including the ones where the MMM bursts into flames? Not knocking the product by any means, it's just that some of the people here are, shall we say, a "little" hard on their equipment.

Just curious, are you using an integrated IC solution like most of the ones on the market (something like the LM2596), or is the circuit similar to the CC BEC?

bruce750i 05.06.2008 01:05 PM

Sounds like last in, first out. I ordered just the 6.5mm bullets from CC at least aweek ago. I still haven't received a shipping notice. Go figure.

As long as it works with 6s and does not cause heat issues I am sure that it will be fine.

I am looking forward to an esc that does not require any extra wiring to work correctly on 6s. Should make alot of setups look much neater! Any idea of how much this weighs?
