Oh. I did not know that! SolidWorks is real nice, too. I've been using AI since high school, so I kinda stuck with it.

bb16 - I'll be sending you some questions soon about solidworks... I have the program but can't figure out how to use any of the features for the life of me...

brushlessboy16 08.21.2008 11:30 PM

i run proD, then make things look pretty in solidworks :D

Arct1k 08.22.2008 06:49 AM

The motor plate looks great - Just need to tweak the top plate now :)

brushlessboy16 08.22.2008 07:44 AM

it IS tweaked

e-mikey 08.22.2008 12:52 PM

It would be great if there was a place to mount a MMM on the top plate.

bb i am about to buy a mill this winter and convert it t cnc what g-code cad software you recommend, i am totally new to this cad stuff but need figure it out just need to know good software to use.

brushlessboy16 08.22.2008 01:21 PM

the cnc software and the CAD software are completley independant of each other- as long as you export your files from CAD in a format that the CNC can read your fine

bl-is-future 08.22.2008 01:23 PM

yeah that is what im saying i dont know what ones to get.. My cnc machine will use mach3 and what ever else i need and that is what i am confused on.

brushlessboy16 08.22.2008 01:25 PM

hmm i wouldnt know what software to use for the cnc itself...

bl-is-future 08.22.2008 01:25 PM

I believe this may be a all in one type deal not sure. this is what will come with my stepper motors and control box but it seems this can design certain things but not a total cad type software. http://www.machsupport.com/

brushlessboy16 08.22.2008 01:28 PM

well i dont know what files that can import...

bl-is-future 08.22.2008 01:28 PM

Allows direct import of DXF, BMP, JPG, and HPGL files through LazyCam
