I would use thermal tape and heatshrink, should be much better than using thermal grease and heatshrink. I dont know if they sell them by themselves but if not you can usually get that and a fan or heatshenk for $5. In fact I think they have one at compusa with: small fan, two heatshinks, thermal tape, thermal grease, for like $5. It's package is one of those generic ones, just saying compusa.
Box like this: http://www.compusa.com/products/prod...287&pfp=SEARCH Do you have a compusa near you? Or any computer store. thunderw0lf: Newegg is awsome, my dad and I shop there all the time (spent about $1,000 making a computer). |
i have a couple of places near me but i dont really like fans unless i could get a super small one. basically i just custom made a heat sink out of a section of a real radiator. we did a prject at work not long ago where we assembled the small radiators so i picked up a couple of sections, cut them to fit and backed it with the heat transfer paste.

You can also check www.2cooltek.com They have all the fans you could need or want - I have dealt with them before.....

So have you guys found anyway to elminate the braking from full to partial throttle? If this can be elminated I'm going to order one of these controllers tommorow, along with a Lehner basic 5300. If you cant get rid of that I might just go with the Warrior 9918 for my T4, I've heard the Warrior isnt that great but I sure as heck cant afford a Uforce, and I cant deal with the full-partial braking, that'd be a dissaster out on the track.

I just heard here That MGM has got a new firmware revision for the controlers. I'd ask Mike to send in his current supply and get them all updated and temporarily hold sales untill they get back. Otherwise, all the rest of the controlers that he orders will have the new firmware and won't break going from full to partial throttle.

I happen to be out of the 80 amp controllers, so the new ones that arrive next week should have the new firmware. I have the 120 amp version coming as well.
