lol, a similar situation occurred when I decided to teach my son and his friends about the dangers of coke and hookers! Haha that's one 6 yr old birthday party they are not going to forget tho. It was all arranged thru Linc's girls, gotta remember safety's first! They're a bit young for the herps lesson.

That was informative, even my girls had no idea of the dangers of mixing coke and hookers. The fact that they stick to acid and pcp also helps, I think!??!!?

Luckily they are all carriers of the herps, and do not have any issues with outbreaks.

As long as they don't have the chirpies, they're OK

Wow I guess it wasn't just me. Personally I haven't really had problems with maxamp packs.

I have around $700 worth of batteries from them. And yes I have swelled a few packs but it was my own fault.

My only problem is the pricing seems to keep going up. Yesterday I ordered a couple of cheap zippy packs. Chances are they wont be as nice but hey, can buy a couple of backup packs and still be ahead.

Like someone else mentioned I do like the size of maxamps packs. 45mm wide is alot easier to work with then 50mm like alot of other lipo brands.

On the other hand, I am getting tired of 2P packs. I like the way 1P packs are so easy to keep track of every cell and balance perfect every time. But all the Maxamp packs I like are 2P.

Anyways, time to change brands. Its a shame since I kinda like how MA just went waterproof on all their stuff. Knock on wood and hope zippy hangs in there.

Damn. I'm glad I only bought one pack from MA. Now I know better.

I think the whole "waterproof" thing is a scam. Not in the sense that it isn't true, but how much more waterproof can a lipo be than it already is? I mean, have you EVER heard of a pack failing because some kid ran his truck in the rain and water got kicked up onto the battery? Or hit a puddle and the pack got shorted out? I can see maybe if you ran the truck into a pond/the ocean and something happened, but those are extreme circumstances. AKA it's your fault. Is MA now accepting warranty claims if I want to use my R/C to sweep the leaves in the bottom of my pool??? They are waterproof, right???

MA pricing has def continued to climb! So much in fact that you can buy Enerland based packs for less than MA now!

yep, and i do not think that people really realize that yet... plus the fact that 40c cells are coming out, and that will drop the prices of the 25c cells even more. maxamps just cannot keep up with their current pricing and products... the waterfroof thing is a decent option, but not really anything to get the masses flocking...

speedemall 03.28.2009 08:30 PM

At the LHS today a guy bought a pair of MA's 5250 packs at $359.99:surprised: just because they told him to LOL

What's_nitro? 03.28.2009 10:27 PM

.....for both? What voltage?

speedemall 03.28.2009 11:40 PM

it was a huge box and I think they were 11.1 30c
