its interesting how the lipos heat up. the motor looks to gradually heat up but the lipos spike in heat and drop and heat back up. i wonder why that is ? in the end though it loks like youre motor and lipos top out about the same in heat.isnt that what ya want ?

Heya, that burnt smell from the buggy and "smoke" tonight was my rear disc break burning up and ripping to shreds... I'm lucky it didn't trash my system though ;) make sense now as when I was using the brakes I would do forward flips quite often also that binded up drive train is obviously fixed :) Thank god and no waiting for slow slow slow CC repairs for the MMM. They are typically pretty good about fixing things, but man they take forever.

i did not know you ran a clutch and another servo for brake. you do the same for the truggy ?

Truggy is pinion, but I do run a mechanical brake in it as well. Both are Tekno conversions.

Created a thread in the general electric section for eagle tree graphs. I posted the graph from the main last night there

It's been almost a year with the RC8T and I absolutely loved racing it last summer. I took it easy with it during the off season and only used it a couple times, I built an E-Maxx basher so I didn't destroy the Truggy, I have a basher and a racer. As the race season is nearing it was time to tear down the truck and rebuild it. I decided to drop down to 4s this year so that there should be no issues with any rules that may pop up and to hopefully tame this beast a little on the track. To go with the 4s I ordered a MMM 2200 combo, last years MMM is now in the E-Maxx. I ordered one new NeuEnergy 4s 5000mah pack for the mains, longest we raced for a main last year was 12 minutes. I tore the truck completely apart and cleaned everything before starting to put it back together.

There it is cleaned up with the new battery tray, esc, motor, and fresh center diff

Totally fresh, new arms, rebuilt shocks, new front diff, fresh rear diff, and greased all hinge pins for smooth operation.

I had thought long and hard about how to paint the body for this year. All our mains have been raced under the lights and the back corners are dark and can be hard to see, especially when "Stum" ( RC-M member) had a very similar looking and equally quiet truck. We actually both ran 1515 2.5D motors on 5s last year and this year we are both running the CC/Neu 2200 on 4s. Anyways I wanted something that was bright and stood out. I'm also a Syracuse Orange basketball fan and with them being in the news lately for doing so well I figured I would make my body a tribute to them and paint it bright orange and blue with a big "S" the logo for the team, the pics don't show it but I also have a blue streak on the sides. I want to find an Otto the Orange sticker that will fit on the hood as well. I have ordered a white wing that I plan to dye blue and I have a set of Proline Holeshot LPRs on white Rulux 1/2 up rims. The rims tires, and chassis will be about the only pieces used over from last year. Once the wing comes and gets dyed and I clean up the rims and tires it will get another pic and will be submitted to a couple magazines for Readers Rides as well as the local paper, hopefully someone will notice it!

Looks a lot like mine. :) Although I'm trying to find a small box to put my receiver in.

Did you have any issues with mounting the front brace? I ended up having to grind out and move the braces upper mounting mount to the center, looks like you did too, then grind a bit on the RCM mount plate as it was a tad (less than 1mm) narrow.

Reason for switching to 2200kv and 4s over 1650kv and 5s?

There was a ball mount that camewith the kit, you have to use it instead of the original and it is meant to go in the middle then. I beleive I may have had to useable sanding drum on my dremel still cause it was a bit tight still. Wanted to switch to the cc/neu hoping for a tamer setup, not that to much power is bad but if it was a little less it'd be nice. Also the smaller pack will be less weight, longest mains we ran last year where 12 minutes and I still had about 1/3 my battery left after a main. Also I like the wires. Oming out of the cc/neu ally better!
