The diffs aren't listed yet(but I have them-along with the needed parts to install them into the FLM hybrids). I still need to "inventory" these diffs and get them listed. I can take care of anyone that needs them through e-mail, though.

sluggie24 01.29.2006 03:10 PM

Could you email me the list of parts needed and prices when you get a chance? My email is sluggie24@aol.com
Also, do you know when you might be getting the integy suspension kit back in stock?
Thanks

RC-Monster Mike 01.29.2006 03:18 PM

The blue Pro3 suspension is usually in stock. The silver comes and goes pretty quick, though. I will e-mail you some diff details in a little while. :)

Do the Hydrids come with the right sized hingepins (e-clip)?

Sylvester 01.29.2006 08:46 PM

I think you need to order different hingepins for the hybrids.

coolhandcountry 01.29.2006 10:45 PM

Mine came with the bottom hinge pins. The top are stock and not included.

I have to say something about this theory of amps and voltage. I have ran a 9xl on 14 cells and 20 cells with the same gearing. I get longer run time out of the 20 cells. Yes it works out to less runtime on paper. With the higher voltage on a motor make the motor have more torque and thus propelling the truck with less amperage of use. This is form my experence.

poconoblmaxx 01.29.2006 11:18 PM

sluggie24 I have an 8xl in my savage that I run on 6s lipo which is roughly equivalent to 20 cells. If mash the gas from a dead stop on a high traction surface I can almost do a backflip (without a wheelie bar), the rear bumper never touches the ground and the truck lands on its front end.

A long wheelie bar is required.

it looks like it has plenty of power
nice truck

sluggie24 01.30.2006 12:36 AM

poconoblmaxx, is your truck geared really high for top speed? I would have thought you would flip right on your lid if you mashed a setup like that. Unless maybe the tires just break loose? I actually want to be able to ride on the wheelie bar for about 20 ft on my way to 45-50 mph! LOL When my truck was stock it would just flip over in second gear with 14cells without a wheelie bar if I mashed it.

poconoblmaxx 01.30.2006 10:41 AM

Its geared 15/52 I think and hits 47mph. I have a wheelie bar on the back in that vid. The truck rides on the bar for quite a ways down the street. You won't have a problem trying to do wheelies. Its kind of hard to convey the awesome explosive power of the xl motors. You must experience it. Oh and take it from a guy whos been there with maxx diffs, just buy the UE ones. You'll end up there in the end anyway.

sluggie24 01.30.2006 04:27 PM

I hear what you and everyone else is saying about the diffs. Problem is I just dumped a bunch of $ on this truck this week and the only reason I even bought it was so I can have fun with my son while he drives his. I'm gonna just wait till these diffs fail before I drop any more $ on it. That could be in a week or so if this is gonna have as much power as everyone says though...... LOL I'll have to let everyone know how the truck runs when finished, I should get all the parts in the mail by the end of the week and be running this weekend.

boss 302 01.30.2006 04:33 PM

let us know how long the diffs last :035: :035:

coolhandcountry 01.30.2006 04:49 PM

They will last longer if you drive a smoother run tires are small, and the slipper is not set tight. Just some driving tips for not tearing them out on first packs. ;)

boss 302 01.30.2006 04:52 PM

it is very important to run the slipper loose when you are running stock diffs because even the titans can eat up the diffs when the slipper is tight

sluggie24 01.31.2006 09:52 AM

Can anyone tell me what usually fails in these diffs and how they fail? Is it just that the ring and pinion gears wear out from lack of lubrication? Like I said earlier, I already have the aluminum diff case and cup with 3mm screws and rubber sealed bearings. Would the robinson gears be worth the money or are the stock ones good enough?:032:
