Some have been said but, in no particular order...

RC Marketing (ok, this is probably one of my top 3). Some of the crap they say is just SO stupid and I feel sorry for all the noobs that fall for it. I see how in a way, that's just how it is, but I sometimes get tired of reading "the best and most powerful ever" or "strongest ever" on every parts description I read.

Stripped screw heads/threads. I f*cking hate dealing with this. Can't they make the thread coarse enough when it's going into plastic and put a large enough head on the screws? Pain in the ass dealing with 1.5mm hexes, as if 2mm wasn't small enough anyway. (Alright, another of my top 3)

Noobs on forums asking questions just to "look cool." It's so damn obvious, and so annoying.

Noobs who don't listen to you despite the fact you are obviously more experienced.

Noobs on forums thinking that having 17,000 posts of "I don't know" in various threads makes them an RC Expert.

People who want a 100mph RC yet expect to do this with 50 bucks. And when you find out they are racing on a track and you tell them "there's no point" they say "I can handle the power." :sarcastic:

People who "know" their RC goes X fast despite having NEVER actually used a GPS or a radar gun. "Yeah, my 100% stock 2.5 T-Maxx does 60+mph." Ok. If you say so buddy.

The same...questions...over...and over...again. Be it on the forum or when someone asks you while you are driving. At least we don't have much of the repetitive noob questions on RCM, they all seem to be stuck on the Traxxas forum.

LHS (in a way) - A part that's $1.50 off tower is $6 from them. I mean c'mon really? I know there's a convenience charge but damn. On the plus side a fellow RCM member works at my LHS, makes it a lot better.

The stuck up nitro guys. Some nitro guys are fine, and admit that the proper brushless systems will obliterate their vehicle, but still prefer the sound of nitro and the fact that they have an actual piston thumping in their RC. I totally respect that. I in a way have the same feeling and own some nitro's (haven't been driven in forever though). But I hate when you get some fool who thinks electrics are for kids and shouldn't be allowed on the track. Well, Mr. Fool, I just beat you down the straight by a mile, and I just jumped OVER you when I turned the entire rhythm section in a single jump. Like to rethink your statement?

When you are out driving and the guy asks you the usual questions and when he finds out how fast it is and how expensive it is, he says "yeah well my Mustang is this fast." (Alright, this isn't something I don't like, cause it's so damn funny when it happens).

There's no perfect connector. It either doesn't support current worth a damn (Tamiya), is a pain in the ass to solder (Deans and Traxxas), or is too big (Powerpoles and Traxxas).

Servo wires. Either WAYYYYYYYY to damn long or 1 inch too short, but always the right length to cause as much trouble as possible.

Bitchy old women who come down to the ponds just to chew us out for running our boats. Relax, our boats aren't harming your little mermaids (though there are a few ducks that think twice about returning to those ponds...) You can start complaining when I get a spear mounted to the front of my Titan, fresh duck is just so tasty.

Jesus clips

People who see my RCs running then think they are obligated to ask questions (how fast does it go, how much does it cost, where did you get it, and can I try are the typical questions) and say "wow that's so cool."

RC Magazines, they blow sunshine up everyone's tailpipe because if not they lose an advertiser so they don't post the truth (hence why Maxamps is all over RC Mags, they provide free batts and a ton of advertising revenue)

Removing the tranny from my HPI Baja

Dropping screws

Losing tools

Burning myself with soldering gun

Glueing myself (glued my mouth shut once, that was interesting)

Tire blow outs

Wow, until this list I didn't know there were so many things about this hobby that annoy me...

Do I wanna know?

Got glue on my hands, wiped my mouth, went to breathe and :gasp: mouth glued shut. Fortunately I had a can of Orange Juice in the freezer, just had to make it up and then hold a glass to my mouth for half an hour while it ate away at the glue to the point I could rip my lips apart. Note to self: DON'T do that again!

no kidding, that would have scared the crap out of me. i have two definite phobias. fear of not being able to breathe (by means of mouth not being able to open especially) and fear of getting physically stuck in a tight place. well, there is one more phobia....people who ask the typical 3 questions....how much? how fast? can i try?

1. working on your car setting it up to go out and bash/race and it breaking 10 mins. after you start and you don't have a replacement part for it!

2. forgetting to charge your radio batteries!

3. having it rain on your ONLY day to run your rc cars/trucks

4. tearing your last diff gasket w/no replacement in stock, while servicing the diffs

5. having your esc fail on the last lap while in the lead...happened to me twice a long time ago.

jayjay283 12.07.2009 08:55 PM

#1 losing that 1 part you need to finish it. It not being where you put it only to find it exactly there 2 hours later (twilight Zone blue men episode)

#2 Letting someone drive your car and crashing it and HAVING to say "its ok man $5 I can fix it" so they don't cry..$25 and 5 hours later.. azzwads

#3 getting all your crap in the car, driving 50 miles to the track and having your RC car crap out after 5 minutes due to Castles crappy switch, not knowing WTF.. TY Patrick for fixing it !

bigboi146 12.07.2009 09:09 PM

1. Having no LHS.
2. Having no track to run at.
3. Stripping screws.
4. Losing screws.
5. Losing body clips and finding them years later in the cracks of my floor.
6. Tires balding under BL power.
7. Fixing your truck to go out and find out that your battery is dead.
8. Discontinued parts.
9. Stripping gears.
10. Buying new bodies.
11. Ebay auctions where people say their t-maxx .15 goes 100mph

Damn this hobby is annoying.
