Bondo, PBO posted a pic at the top of page 2 that shows the vertical stabilizers mounted to the sides of the body. Thought I'd mention it if you missed it as its a simple way to do it and would make for a clean look on a dirt oval body.

Yes I did catch that, just ordered a couple sheets of .040 and one of the .060 to make these with. I'm hopeing the wedge nose will help ?
I just heard back from our salesman from Horizon and he found the kit I wanted and shold have have in hand by the end of next week. I settled on the Ofna HyperE-dirt oval, it was $149.99 sweet !

thats a good deal on the dirt oval.. I also used .040 for my stabilizers .. good luck with the project. I might look into the dirt oval kit also.

I just checked the price of a Ofna Dirt oval body, a whopping $63.... no thanks...

Nice deal on the Dirt Oval Bondo! I have a GTP roller on the way that I'll be converting to 4s and trying to break 100mph with. Can you feel the amperage???

Horizon has them for 53.00, get your LHS to order one then no shipping to pay for ?

Yes !
I thought about the GTP but couldn't get a roller/ARTR through Horizon, I didn't want to lay out the extra cash for the nitro garbage and then resell via the Bay.
Especially when the AM TX/RX is worthless nowadays ?:whip:

Yep, I bought it used off rcgroups for pretty cheap so I can't complain. I'll have 5 times the price in motor and esc alone... HAHA It will be interesting!

I have two sets of those GRP tires for my buggies. Just make sure to warm them up well before doing a pass at WOT or you will get nasty wheelspin.

I hate i didnt get to this earlier, but i have an ofna dirt oval and it has an offset chassis to aid in left turns, dont know if you realized that, also the stock body that came with mine also has a slight angle to it that helps left turns. Mine turns left really well but it is engineered not to do right turns well and it tends to drift left when going down the straights unless you keep turning a little to the right. Of course i drive it on an oval so i also made sure to put my battery as far to the left side as i could get it. Be warned though, everything on the car is optimized for left handers.

I read this elsewheres also. I hope this can be compensated for for Bondo's sake...

Not to argue but from the pictures it doesn't seem to be anything that can't be worked with, It actaully doesn't look to be as extreme as you say ?

I have a Losi 8ight Nitro CD/brake assembly, I wounder if I could get Mikes mount to work w/it ?

It probably isnt anything that you cant work with, i just wanted you to be aware that you may have to be careful how you set it up by keeping things as close to the center or to the right as you can to compensate for the offset.
