+1 for Black Mamba

I was also thinking in keeping with the snake theme that you have sidewinder for the more tame controllers, Mamba for the mid range group, maybe the new guy should be the King Cobra? Or Anaconda? Please take these suggestions as tongue in cheek as they are meant. However if one of my names is chosen I expect royalties in the form of a free controller. :intello:

Most likely "Mamba Ice HV" in keeping with current naming schemes.

My vote is for the Cobra

For some reason or other I thought you would go for the Black Mamba.

Don't know where i got that idea though..................

Sure glad I didn't place any bets on it either. :rules:

So whatever happened to "black is nice"?:na:

The trouble with the snake naming convention is that it is self-limiting. To give room for future growth, you'd have to start by calling the Mamba something more like "garden snake".

The product line needs to be split into segments. Something like the lower-end (Sidewinder), mid-range (Mamba), and upper-end (Viper). And then add numbers/letters to the end of the name for specific model and/or generation.

If I get a chance this weekend, I post up a vid.

Still waiting on the vid!

I still am wondering, is the Q-Base ESC the exact same as the MMP (besides solder posts) or does it have lower-rated components that allow it to only be rated for 4S?

Muggydude 07.19.2010 05:40 PM

I like the Anaconda HV power system. And the Mamba Ice HV

snellemin 07.19.2010 06:15 PM

Saw this today. 7/19/10 firmware

New Feature: Torque control - limits the amount of torque applied to wheels during acceleration.
New Feature: Added Max Forward Throttle feature that limits the maximum power output to motor.
Addition: Added support for Mamba XL/Mamba XL HV/Hydra ICE/Hydra ICE HV with data logging.
