I'm not, just tested my mamba 9XL on 12 cells and on a full charge its impressive. I will get the Mamba monster when it comes out, but till then i'll play with what i got. If they do what they did with the mamba max, it will turn the brushless world upside down. If they truly double up, it will take 10s lipo max (going by what Jhautz said in another thread)

coolhandcountry 10.29.2006 07:54 AM

10s lipo would be the stuff. I would dance in the street. :D

...its going to be a beast whatever they turn out...It will be interesting to see what can length they go with...A Feigao XL is 74mm so i wonder if the MonMax will be more or less than that...

squeeforever 10.29.2006 09:34 PM

One of the reps said it was probably gonna be XL size.

BitHed 10.29.2006 09:52 PM

...10-4 Squee...Do we have any idea of KV yet?

squeeforever 10.29.2006 10:17 PM

Nope. None to my knowledge...

BrianG 10.29.2006 10:33 PM

I would expect them to offer a few motors with different KV ratings. Of course, the KV ratings of their motors will be somewhat dependent on the max voltage rating of the ESC. If the ESC is rated for 10s, something along the lines of 1000, 1500, 2000, and 2500 kv, judging from past CC bundles.

I was actually thinking about 6s warranted, with 4s in the pocket to push

Kind of like the mamba max, 3s warranted and 2s in the pocket to push

Same thinking here, Crazyjr.
The M.Max can handle up to 5s and its very possible that the MonsterMax will handle over 8s easily.
The people at CC once told me that they're designing the controller to handle something above 21~25V, that's the nominal performance, if you ask me, but I think if they're gonna follow the same procedure of the Mamba Max with the Monster Max, then the possibility is incredibly high that it will handle 10s lipos.

Thats my thoughts, even if it falls short of the true double, it will be the best out there

Any of you guys have any more news on this? I keep waiting for a release date, but nothing's happening. Do they even have a target for the near future?

BrianG 12.15.2006 03:16 PM

Speculation says that it won't be here until spring at the earliest...

Sower 12.15.2006 03:18 PM

Wow, that's horrible. I've been waiting and waiting to do my setup based on this. I'm sure I'm not alone though. I would have thought they would have it on the market early spring for the racing season.

crazyjr 12.15.2006 03:31 PM

The last i heard (and that was in Jhautz thread about the 5s on mamba max) it wouldn't be ready till summer. If it lives up to the Hype that Joe says (standing backflips in a 14 pound Emaxx) it will be something to see

jhautz 12.16.2006 07:02 PM

Talking to Bernie a CC last week and he mentioned 200A continuous and the same footprint as the Mamaba Max. The MMM will just be taller. Sounds sweet!!! All still unofficial fo course.

Summer is still the latest I have heard. But who knows really... Its gonna take what it takes till they get it right.
