yeah its lookin sweet nice job leroy!

jhautz 01.14.2007 01:41 PM

Sweet!!!

Is that a Novak HV heatsink on a 1950? I like it! I wish you could get some measrements on the amp draw with the different voltages. That could really paint a picture of what happens in real life over a wide range of voltages with similar loads. Could be a good education of all of us.

Very nice leroy!

Nice limn tacos! :)

Yes jhautz, they are hv sinks.

Well test 3 was failure.
The spektrum has a bad habit of fail safe going back to the stock settings.
Stock settings cause the bk to hit wide open reverse for a split sec.
It did fine on the 9s but 12s is bad.
I had it all hooked up and no smoke which was good.
I turend the switch on and it went wide open reverse.
The motor spun up so fast the tires wouldn't keep up.
It took all the teeth right off the spur.
The tires was not on ground. I have to fix spektrum problem first.

Sylvester 01.14.2007 01:51 PM

I bet 12s will be a massive amount of torque.. What spur were you using ; ofna?

I think it may be your receiver that is the problem..

coolhandcountry 01.14.2007 02:07 PM

I have had this problem before with different rx.
It does it mainly with the bk for they don't have a lag like
quark or schulze. They wait to find the signal.
Bk is plug has signal and ready.
when fail safe is saying reverse or brake it tries to.

Sylvester 01.14.2007 02:23 PM

Are you using a switch between the UBEC and receiver?

Now that is some NASTY power

Serum 01.14.2007 04:05 PM

What LVC are you using?

Note to myself; don't buy a spektrum.. Leaves the Nomadio open as an alternative..

coolhandcountry 01.14.2007 08:36 PM

I am using a li saver car version. Batts was fresh off charge so know that is
not problem. I had the same problem before with nimh and 6s with bk.
I don't experence problem with schulze or quark. Can't remember for mgm.

cemetery gates 01.14.2007 08:45 PM

Sweet! Must be a blast to drive on 9s, totally uncontrollable on 12s!

Vids are a must!

Bye:018:

Yes. If I don't I still have same problem. I ran one with no switch.
It was recommended by the ubec people.
I need to stop the esc from coming on with the rx.
Is there a way to wire another switch to it.
