I guess your username isn't mr.lst for nothing..

Now can we get over it and stop this ueseless debate? (towards everybody that is..)

A question, with no flaming intended; have you had a revo?

wfdfiremedic 03.25.2007 12:57 PM

I agree with serum. There is no way to objectively measure this, so there is no point. It is all subjective. Therefore, buy all the MT's and you will own the best one.

I had both a 2.5 and a 3.3 revo's that is where I base my opinion on from cold hard facts

squeeforever 03.25.2007 01:16 PM

Well obviously not. No offense, but the Revo only has a few things that need to be upgraded to make VERY reliable. And like it or not, some of them are even the same things that would need to be upgraded on a LST. Why do you say that about the sliders though? I have NEVER had a problem with one. 95% of racers know now to use CVD's on a Revo. Its dead weight. The sliders will withstand a my 2000 watt BL setup, so I highly doubt a nitro engine will do anything to them. Diff cups, so what? Thats $20 to solve a problem, and its not even a problem for ALOT of people. I never had a problem with the diffs...It seems to me that you just never gave the Revo a fair chance. I read your post about how the Revo handles like "mush" but thats not true. I don't know of ANYONE that things the Revo doesn't handle good...

I want you guys to behave now, or i'll lock this thread.

This is not the place to have this useless and endless debates.

Calm down.

It's funny, that all of this debate is going on. I said that I think that the MGT is the best monster truck, and I do own a Losi Muggy. My reasons for making the MGT my pick are completely subjective. I like the truck because it's tough and they use duplicate parts on the front and back making parts replacement and stocking parts easier, should they be needed. The truck is also super easy to work on. Everything is out in the open.

On an overall though, the argument here can pretty much be ended with an anology. I once read in a cigar magazine where the editor was asked what he thought was the best cigar and his answer was, "whatever you are smoking now." I think that this statement pretty much covers it. They are all good, but for different reasons and any particular one will satisfy one person's needs while not doing the same for another. Of course, there is trash out there, but if you stick with the reputable manufacturers; I don't think that any one manufacturer's model is overall or generally "better" than any other. I think that I can safely say that, although I haven't owned every monster truck being made right now, I've probably broken them all. LOL.

I agree with some of that aangel. There is not one thing that makes every one
happy. If that was the case we would have one monster truck.

And having only one would really limit the fun and the options.

I kind of figured that you "cleaned things up"!

Sorry i'm late to the party :005: but heres my take on this. I have both trucks a REVO & LST2. Both are good but there are differences between them. The REVO is more fine tunable but the LST2 is still very capable. When racing in my opinion the revo suites a driver with more finice, while on the LST2 you dont need as much finice. Both are great trucks i'm just as slow with either of them :005: .

Low self esteem Mike..

Are you using swaybars on your LST? a nice add-on IMO.

Rene what is this self esteem you speak of :005: ?. I use a rear swaybar only on the losi but it depends on the track, sometimes the truck works better with no swaybars. It's more about fun & hanging with friends rather than winning for me.
