but its all cool i was showing it off at work today and i broke a lot of stuff. like the 1 spur gear, 3 wheel hex's, 1 front diff, 1 push rod, and 1 rpm arm lol.

i did not konw that a poll could do so much damage haha. but its all fixed and its good. i got to try not to brake it any more cause i dont get paid for 2 more weeks and today was an expensive day.

oh yah and i broke the tekno wing mount cause i was doing backflips off of the curb. hahaha

I know how you feel. Check this out. It happened 3 weeks ago.:grrrrrr:I am still down. $120 later.:diablo:

Ouch. But its the nature of RC.

drkros3 11.13.2007 02:40 AM

yup yup.

also just wondering would betting the whole tranny gears in metal by robinson racing be better since i feel like the gears in the trany are going to just strip

http://www.impaktrc.com/product_info...oducts_id=1060

also if i get that would i still be able to lock it into second?

gtxracer 11.13.2007 02:52 AM

Well, are the RPM arms at least a little bit stronger than the stockers? I just tore the cantilever link out of the "driver's side" front arm. Hopefully stockers will hold up next time.

Wow! Thats like asking which Neu motor you should buy. Its a matter of opinion. Some people like plastic and others like metal. I personaly like plastic. usually only 1 gear breaks or strips. Cheap fix. But if you have metal gears the pressure that would break a plastic gear has to be transferred else where. If you buy metal gears the pressure that would break them will be transferred to break something else. What would break, :neutral:who knows. You need some cheap plastic parts to take the beatings sometimes.

I only use RPM for my plastic arms. I use aluminum for lower arms though. Never broke any arms yet.:yipi:

the rpm ones are stronger then stock. cause i know if i had stock ones on it would of tore them off when i hit the poll

also on the gears i was just wondering if any one had used them and was able to lock the second still. i think i might just still with the stock ones just because its like 100 for the gears lol.

drkros3 11.15.2007 12:47 AM

hey i just had a question about the braking.

would it be better if i where to use the motor braking or should i get the mechanical braking?

also whats the dis advantage of doing this

squeeforever 11.15.2007 12:59 AM

Mechanical would be my choice.

drkros3 11.15.2007 01:14 AM

would i still be able to do with even though i locked it into second.

MetalMan 11.15.2007 01:18 AM

Yep, you'll just want to disable the brake on the ESC (or set it to a very low strength).

drkros3 11.15.2007 01:23 AM

what about making the servo work. i heard that you use a y harnes?

MetalMan 11.15.2007 02:27 AM

A y-harness connecting the ESC and brake servo to the same channel will do the trick.

drkros3 11.15.2007 02:42 AM

oh ok i get it. maybe i well order that servo tray by tekno and then try this.

i kinda dont like the sound the motor makes when it brakes lol.
