EEK!... haha.. I'm not worried..
I really can't wait to see what happens.. :) |
I can do some speculations in case your interested..?
:D |
So what's the Maximum Wattage this motor can put out..? why the heck is it ! 4000 Watts..?
|
peaks can easely reach 5000-5500 watts.
|
Oh my goodness
|
better stock up on some parts aqwut..
And move to Utah.. Oh land of space.. |
Yeah, you better find a salt lake.
Can as well lock the steering :p I can imagine this numbers equal an enormous ammount of torque. You must be able to run a ridiculous gearing. |
WOOOHOOO!!!... I like them numbers.... I LIKE I LIKE A LOT>... man.. you've just made my day.... F*CK another 2280 during X-Mas.. Gettin' a 3080-8 Turn... and gonna hook it straight to the tranny shaft.... I can't wait man...
By Years ending, I shall meet my 3080... I'll be happy if I could snap my 10mm CVDs... :) Maybe I'll fry the tranny... YES!!.. that would be nice.... Wow.. my maxx is gonna be over 25lbs... 2280 Peaks at 5000+ watts.. I don't think I'll be able to sleep tonight....gonna run 2 packs of 12S 8000 MAH |
Okay Daniel, we officially don't need our therapist anymore.... Aqwut is in more need of one..
@aqwut; try the 2280 first, see it fly and you have to admit that one 2280 allready is absurd.. Got 23 hexes? |
yeah... I'll be needing them 23mm hex for sure...
the power will just strip the weeks.... so 23mm hex, alloy wheels.... should be okay.... I would say the tranny's gonna be first to go.. I think that will be the weekest link..... Hey did lehner use to make brushed motors... I went to ebay Germany and found an auction that's selling a Lehner 3550.... It looked like it only had 2 wires.... |
that's because its a brushed motor indeed..
There are no 23 mm aluminum wheels that i am aware of.. with aluminum rims you don't need a 23mm hex either, the 14 allready is strong enough. |
it's not strong enough... even with the aluminum wheels... I've killed a 14mm alloy wheel already.....
Maybe the trucks just too D*mn heavy... I could've sworn I've seen 23mm alloy MT Wheels around on the internet somewhere... I shall go to 23mm hex... It's an upgrade that's worth doin'.. |
I guess that you did not use CNC'd rimms but molded?
|
I'm not sure.... about this.... well.... soon enough, we will see...... them 22 series.. are they maxxed out at 65Krpm or 50krpm.. some sites have them as 50k , some as 65K....
|
Don't go above the 50K, they will get pretty amp-thirsty in the higher RPM range..
A large motor isn't meant for high rpm's, it's meantfor it's torque.. The 65K is for the highamp versions. |
Well, it is said the hi-amp versions have a lower resistance. So what is the advantage of the non hi-amp version??
|
you can use it in star configuration, and they are not as hot in the KV range..
|
Okay, thanks.
|
I'm still counting the days when the 2280 and I will meet...
I probably should've got one that has 800 kv rating... but I'm pretty sure I can do some damage with the 1480 kv rating 2280-5 hiAmp.... i guess when I get too excited, I don't think... |
You know your self or low self esteem..?
;) On 40 cells (20S/2P) this thing hauls.. You got the 36150 don't you? I just wanted to point to this little beauty; the eagletree car data system, so you're able to see if your setup had a good reason to burn.. |
40.160wk, exchange for 18.129....schulze's gonna tell me how much credit they'll give for that esc.. that's the second time it fried... for no reason.
|
probably a loose contact aqwut!
A good quality controller like that doesn't burn up, just like that.. DO they? |
Notorious Schulze issues, if you ask me. I had a few burn for no reason(well loose contacts, even though they were the new plugs schulze sent!).
|
I checked everything before .... plugged the battery and it smoked... I thought I may have soldered the wire wrong.. but nope... the motor contacts were perfect.. I checked everything.. this is the second time it's done this... the first time schulze repaired it.. they sent a fried 18.149(wasn't even mine) and charged me $180 for repair.. what the h*ll is their warranty for?...
Now a little while after.. this happens... the only schulze that I haven't had problems with were the 40.160WKs... those worked well for me.. big ass an esc can be.. but its was working well.. I spend more money on repair than the esc itself.... especially the 18.61K's those are Cr*ppy.... I just sold mine for $200 cdn... lucky me :) I will start buying BK controllers from now on.. right after the 40.160WK... You guys like the BKs better than the schulze....? |
the problems you have are the reason we like the bks
|
I'd take a BK over a schulze any day for the high voltage stuff. The 40160 is HUGE. I would never run that controller simply due to its size and cost.
Bottom line-every controller brand will have a few controllers that malfunction or have something go wrong, but BK stands behind their stuff and honors the warranty if the user is not at fault. |
Got pics of your burned schulzes Aqwut?
|
Haha, Serum, the trophy collector ;)
This "loose contact" excuse is getting old! I imagine the guy in the Schulze office has a pre-written e-mail for 18.61 users. A weak excuse, IMO, to always blame the customer. |
Yeah, i'd like to get a 10000 dollar damage list..
I'm allready on the right track if you ask me! |
aqwut, u got any schulze 18.97kfw for sale? lol
|
Guess who's back....
;) |
Quote:
When you have 10 grands worth of Schulze BBQ documented, you'll have to sent them a mail! Expect the "loose contact" standard reply :L: |
lol, been a while huh? Well thx for teh warm welcome. What time is ti over there? Its 6:35am here and i gotta leave for school.
|
Lunchtime!
|
Yeah! LUNCHTIME!
@bnacz; you leave early for school! |
Serum, I can get pic of one later when I get off work...
NBA.. Yeah, I have a schulze for sale... when I get the 18.129 back.. I still have to wait and see if they're goin' to warranty it or not.... if the repair is cheap.. I will sell it.... Maybe I should back off of the 40.160K.. and get the 36150.... anywayas.. I wouldn't really want to run over 42000 rpms anyways right...? the motor will just get hotter quicker... Will you be stocking the 36150s?... or would I have to order that a month ahead.....? let's say.. if I do run .. 36 cells.. and it's supppose to be running over 42000rpm... the Bk will cut it down to 42000rpm with no problems right..? It will still run, but max out at 42000rpms..... That's alright by me.. their warranty can't be as bad as schulze... I don't even know why schulze even have warranty... they don't stand behind anything... but a 50% repair cost...... :) |
So how do you really feel?:L:
|
Quote:
that's it!! I thought/heard that the new 36120 and 36150 also had this higher frequency, so they can go above 42k.. |
Dang, I think we touched a nerve with aqwut and the whole Schulze thing.......:L:
|
Yeah true, although 42000 is plenty for an efficient high volt setup,Mike told me a while ago that the 36 cell controllers ordered now would not have this limit.I'd get the 36150 too,in fact i am.
Any one who has run a succesful buisness knows that the way Schulze treats it's customers is only bad for buisness in the long run, as word of mouth is everything in an industry like this. I get the impression from Shulze that they are saying 'if we made it, it must be perfect so it must be the customers fault.' |
