No need for water cooling - this is likely to make the plastic brittle - Just hold in position whilst it cools - should be only 30 secs...

Remember you will need to overbend slightly as it will spring back.

oh, ok. that was my suspicion- do you think that my methods affected it?

its 3/16-pretty thick.

Arct1k 10.07.2008 10:43 AM

Well I don't think it will like the burning and rapid cooling - Lean on it and see if it breaks...

brushlessboy16 10.08.2008 05:55 PM

after 8 dreadful days the truck arrived, I have yet to open it- my parents are holding it hostage....

one question...

RYAN HOW MANY ROLLS OF TAPE DID IT TAKE TO COVER THE WHOLE BOX! like come one- lol

Will post later- must do homework.

mambarustler 10.08.2008 06:25 PM

Can't wait for pics

Takedown 10.08.2008 06:51 PM

Dude yay! And yes I used 2.5539237 rolls of clear tape. Was a mofo to wrap... Anyways let me know what you think. We need for this build to get going...

brushlessboy16 10.08.2008 07:25 PM

well i like it so far, everything is good. drivetrain is bind free. suspension is smooth as a baby's butt..

Spur gear looks like it came out of my mountain bike :D

I think i am going to rework the mount you included, the holes in the chassis are already countsunk, and the holes in the mount itself are the perfect size for a 4mm tap :D

so i just have to drill some holes for my mud guards. then mount the battery tray
pics will be up shortly

trev3813 10.08.2008 08:43 PM

Awe, NO pics? You fail!

brushlessboy16 10.08.2008 08:54 PM

ill routing the rx antenna over the diff cause interference? the antenna mast is halfway down the rear chassis stiffener, and the rx is up by the front shock tower.

I have to say the metal spur and metal pinion make the loudest-most annyoing sound i have ever heard...

trev3813 10.08.2008 09:59 PM

More annoying than me?

Takedown 10.08.2008 10:01 PM

Stop bumping the thread trev... Ben the spur is loud yes. You can tell by the video I made of it awhile back.

brushlessboy16 10.08.2008 10:06 PM

mount got its holes tapped. using countersunk screws in the chassis, to bolt it down. very clean install

im debating if i should put the mud guards on as i would have to drill holes in the chassis.

how its looking with my oddly sized zippy pack is that i will have to turn it on its side to fit it on the chassis.

brushlessboy16 10.09.2008 08:04 AM

psht, the thing is indestructable..

Motor mount will be tweaked when i get home today, a trim and lengthening the mounting slot

Takedown 10.09.2008 11:50 AM

What Im saying ben is if you can get the cen to wheelie with the stock diff fluid and not a locked center diff then the turkey bar might be acceptable...
