hey shaun im not sure what type of tank you have but if this is what we used to use when we had our own tanks. http://www.paintballgateway.com/trscfist.html screw it on... attach your tank to it and press the button! just be sure not to fill the tank more than 3000psi obviously (im guessing you got a 3k tank.) its great to hear that the gun works fine! -ryan |
Progress continues  (but I'm running out of ideas and space) if you got this please shoot them out..
I'm thinking some kind of side armor IDK  It is looking rather wicked at this point and once I have received my smoke I’ll be just about complete.. (you tube) watch out LOL.LOL Thanks for your time everybody and have a great week.. http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/i...7/IMG_3632.jpg http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/i...7/IMG_3631.jpg http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/i...7/IMG_3630.jpg |

Thanks’ Arct1k They are sharp as hell.. I'm using them a mainly a deterrent and maybe some tire shredding  :intello: Have a great one Sir Quote:
To bad you live sooooo far away.. But if any of our So-Cal brotherens what to build one, I’ll do battle.. Thanks for you’re the comments Sir, have a great week Quote:
Agreed but I cant make them fit.. I'm thinking about maybe mounting something on the hood ??? TBD Thanks for your comments BB16 (keep them coming) |
This project has become way cooler than I ever thought it could. I do have to wonder how you will be able to drive it and access the rockets and paintball gun at the same time.

1873547354 channel radio.......

Probably with the little toggle switches in the top corners. He said he was gonna use a 360* servo to activate the rockets all at once. If the radio had two momentary toggles then he could shoot one at a time.
|
DX6 or DX7 would do it perfectly.
And I just might have to make some attachments for my truck and see if any local guys want to battle it out :diablo: |
wow, i read this thread at on day one, and i cant believe how fast you put this together. you are a champion among men...who drinks, win win if you ask me
cheers mmmmmm you got me thinks about a screwdriver, delicious:yes: |

Hay Phil.. Yes it’s all for real and it all works.. I’ve already sliced up my fingers pretty good and I all most stabbed myself in the gut when I picked it up.. This thing is dangerios, so once the video is made and if know one else wants to do battle I’ll make this my first official shelf queen.. LOL.. As of cost I'm assuming you just refereeing to the “project X” stuff so here is the breakdown: $165 Paint gun $150 Paint balls and hopper & flex house $125 (3) difernet air tanks takes $80 Air Regulator $110 Arrow heads, wheel adapters & fins (for rockets) $15 Rockets $100 Misc. (paint, front ram, rear wing, wire, etc) Total project “X” costs (not to bad) NOoooo there will be no drinking driving or just plain picking it up LOL.LOL Thanks for the kind words sir and have great week.. Quote:
That’s the part I ended up getting today at the store. DAM YOU GOOD!,,, The gun, hoper, everything worked great today… I owe you bid time SIR.. Thanks again for everything Ryan. Shaun. Quote:
Now I’ve got the gun on the third channel and have to manuly ignite the rockets (BOOO) but in do time I’ll have it all dialed in, hopefully intime for the So-Cal bash on the 19h.. (look out boys) LOL.LOL.. Thanks again for stopping buy and saying hay… I'm still open to any and all suggestion on how to make it “meaner” if you got any please don’t be shy.. lets here them.. Have a great week sir.. Quote:
Thank you for the kind words Sir. That really made my night.. It’s not easy keeping up with the big dogs here, but I think I'm close LOL. At least I know my truck can beat there’s in a race now.. LOL.LOL “I pity the fool that passes me” HHHhhaaa. Sorry I crack myself up sometimes. Anyway: I can usually pump these things out pretty easy and it’s really the only time I get to drink / puff and truly relax (enjoy DAD’s time).. But sadly this build is coming to a close, so I'm looking / trying to think outside the box for my next project.. Got any ideas ??? Have a great week and thanks for leaving comments.. Shaun. P.S. I love screwdrivers, so if you’ve over 21 yes they are good and the 2nd and third ones all taste like orange juice at that point LOL.. |
I think you are keeping up with the "Big Dogs" just fine, Shaun...
In fact, you have one of the few actual builds at the moment... Thanks for keeping the forum interesting! I well remember my dad introducing me to the art of daquiri making when I was 12, guess he got the 21 thing transposed...he is a bit dyslexic:lol: It has been downhill ever since. At least my handover is gone, only took 20hrs. |
Hey Shaun,
got a few ideas, 1) i think you should maybe paint the hopper to match the paint scheme cos currently the hopper looks a bit out of place (which it obviously is) 2) maybe also paint the ram on the front??? 3)if i were you, i'd have cut the hole on the front for the paintball gun a little smaller to look more subtle (if its possible for a truck with arrowheads on the side to look 'subtle') LOL. 4) for your next build maybe build a mobile drink station that carries beer or whisky or whatever. or do what you've done to your Xray to a plane? make it look like spitfire or something. very good work Shaun. |
Ever thought of an onboard camera mounted in the blower or a laser sight for the paintball gun? Just putting it out there...
|

Rite on PHIL… that the way we like it, throw them out there.. :yipi: 1) that’s a great idea.. I just need to find painter.. Like it.. Thanks.. 2) What you don’t like my “hot rod red” LOL.LOL  3) Yea.. well that was after several toties and YES I screwed the pooch ? IE a $130 body up.. “it’s not easy being me” LOL.LOL  4) LOL.LOL.LOL.LOL That’s a great idea Sir.. (Where the hell have you been ??) You make a great addition to the family.. Quote:
Thanks Sir.. it’s not easy living in your shadow.. LOL.LOL Thanks for the lessoned learned too (your such a giver) my boy is 12 now, so I’ll wait a few years .. Thanks for your comments and have a great week James.. lets do diner Thursday night, if your up for it.. ?? Quote:

How about something like a Tornado Intercept Vehicle (T.I.V.)? Also, if u don't want paint everywhere, u could get some of the reuseable rubber paintballs?, cops use it as a less than lethal round:yes:.
|
it would suck having to run around looking for the paintballs though
then again if you have kids i am sure they would have fun doing that:lol: |
I think you need the onboard cam with a HUD. I would also add a self righting mechanism - the less you have to go near that thing the better!
|
I think you should add an onboard self distruct servo...if a bunch of trucks get you cornered you flip a switch and take out anything within 3 feet

Thanks guy’s it’s real cool and even better in person.. I'll be posting Video tomorrow, but I’ve got a quick question for the team.. I need some stiff (the stiffest) springs and or spacers any recommendation for me.. The total weight of the bad boy with 200 rounds of pain is just under 15 lbs and my blue springs just don’t cut it..
Thanks you for the help.. http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/i...7/IMG_3638.jpg P.S. The next time you see me post (I’ll have Veido) LOL.LOL P.S.S. Here is quick (real short) video on the firing mechanism. LOL got to love this hobby.. http://s264.photobucket.com/albums/i...t=MVI_3637.flv P.S.S.S. BTallack.. No I’m sorry sir I've seen 3 channel radio converted to 4 / 5 channels before I just couldn’t find the fricken thread.. Thanks for the radio recommendations though.. Welcome to the Monster Sir.. Shaun. |

If it were possible to have different servos connected that respond to different parts of the channel feed, you may be able to use the servo mixing option for channel 3 to control different servos. I'm just not sure how that would be done. When you do find the thread I'd be curious how they did it. I could actually use that ability myself for a project I'm working on. (I was presently intending to use my DX6i, but if I could use a proper RC Car remote, that'd be better for control reasons) And thank you for the kind Welcome. |
This thread is now the first "Project X" thread, as it should be considering Shaun's effort.
And Shaun, I put in a link to the video that works. |
wow you got it shaun!
nice work!! member when there was crt .5s sprouting out everyday on the forums same thing is going to happen here! everyone will build a destructo vehicle! cant wait! thank you mods! |

:intello: I'm so looking forward to see them myself aswell... thanks again to everyone!.. :yipi: |
Forward progress continues
So after spending some good quality time with some long over due friends (you the know the type) and getting completing trashed Friday night (IE) opening my mind to new ideas beyond the box or 2nd elements and recovering Saturday I was ale to think of and incorporate a couple of new ideas into / for my Battle truck..
1. Smoke finally arrived (Yyhhaaa) But having a single discharge for it out the rear seams to not quite fit the (OOOooo, OOOOOooo,OOOOooo / EI testosterone) I'm going for so I’ve setup this duel stainless steel braided house with a manifold, exhausting out a 1 1/2 “ Alum fitting. :yipi: ( LOL.LOL.) I’ve got MetMan finalizing up the system now. 2. I also added two slayer front bumpers as side protection between the wheels. 3. I Also Added (YOU WILL LOVE THIS!!) A fishing net with the ends in weights shooting out the rear of the truck. :gasp: I'm planning on running this system off a standard 2.4 oz co2 cartridge, but I also might have discovered a way to tap into my gun tank (Mad scientist laugh here ). I just need it to blast the net out once (approx 10’ behind me) / YOU KNOW (IE) to entangle the rear chasing cars (of course what else would it be for) 4. I’ve also included (2) new front spears  (yes I’m going there), I’ve ordered a taser and I'm hoping to be able or metalman / linc?? to (somehow / TBD) hook up it’s firing mechanism to the blades and shoot those out along with the added voltage of tasaser. I'm hoping that is enough to immobilize any oncoming theat.. Or I drop a full size man with the tasers and then go full auto on his ass with the paint..LOL.LOL (just kidding) :na: 5. The fifth adjustment was to install a skull and cross bone on the hopper. I’ve scaled it off and PM a friend of mine who will make a decal, but for now this the basic idea.. 6. The next addition was to add lights to the skull eye’s I found some that I think will work nicely :mdr: 7. The last little sadistic addition was to screw down thought he chassis with sharp metal screws, that way if some one (other than ME) went to pickup the truck from the bottom they would rip up there hands.. Thanks for you time team Have a great one everyone and thanks ahead for leaving your comments on how I can improve this build… So just a recap:  (There’s been some improvements).. I’m (going for) building / got / will have a fully auto 16sec per shoot 200 round electric skull and cross bone hoper, 8 rocket a shooting, 6 steal spikes a gouging, duel smoke a bellowing, skull eyes a glowing, front taser shooting, tire slashing, and (lets not forget) the rear net shooting “BATTLE TRUCK” Holly @#$^!.. LOL.LOL.LOL.. Enjoy the pictures… |
Mr. Mod’s… Why cant I post pictures’ anymore ?? They are all linc’s now.. Did I screw up and go past my limit ??.. :oh:
Thanks IE: http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/i...IMG_3642-1.jpg |
Love the updates Shaun, that rear firing net idea is pure genius

I like the firing mech vid, were you listening to fleetwood mac? Stevie Nics is like a drunken sailor wench, sounds like she has smoked for at least 150 years... And that gold dust woman song just sucks, however i think that was her side project, nothing to do with lindsay or mick... Back to your regularly scheduled battle truck viewing! |
:diablo: I still cant post pictures…
http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/i...7/IMG_3666.jpg This one is at 800 x 600 so it show up.. A little help please  (I’ve got 25 pictures that will blow your mind :eyes: :yipi:).  |
