Yeah, I think that's an excellent Idea .... |
Guys, I just purchased a set of UE 8 spider Ultralites! Its time to get serious about some bullet proofing.

How much did you drop for the diffs?

They will certainly be tough...

I love all of my UE 8-spiders! Just remember to use a little thinner oil in them, since the added spider gears makes your oil act and feel like it is much thicker. If you normally run 50k front and 10k rear, run 30k front and 7k rear in the 8-spiders.

Makes sense thanks! |
Do they make 8-spider diffs for the Revo?
|
they will fit in a revo carrier Mike used to or may be making again, Check TDC57's erevo posts in the gorilla maxx section....same as emaxx, different case. Mike was going for a v2 or v3 case as why they dropped off the site for a bit, they fit them (6s+8s) That would be the last you ever needed to talk to those revo gears, again properly shimmed.
|
Way off in the future (after I build my savvy and my boat) I'm thinking about building a 3s super lite maxx. What do you guys think?
|
Superlite maxx... I don't think they are anything special anymore. But for bashing, sure. Back in the day I would have loved a superlite maxx! It would be a great racing platform if used in conjunction with Gorillamaxx chassis (RacerX front and rear ends).

I was thinking of the other supermaxx parts... RacerX is what I meant, those are the good parts to use.

But really I think I'm just dreaming about the low weight Maxx. It is never going to happen. The current Maxx project will likely never end. And then I've got the Savvy to civilize. |

Yeah we Maxx builders are pathetic. *Cough* Mark! We are never ever done! Except perhaps Jordan's build and a hand full of others like some of Mikak's where they is no way to spend anymore money!! One thing I haven't seen is a BL Razorback! :surprised: That would be stupid. Nice truck! Jayjay! Yeah mine is fairly low weight at 11lbs running. Really one of the few things I wait is a full(yet 4 shocks) setbacked highimpact RacerX with the 8mm CVDs. I think I have a slightly tweaked stub axles thingy. |
Lightweight Emaxx = easy, if you know how:

Back in the day, all the UE guys who raced the small-block Maxx class were building LRMs (Lite-Race-Maxxes), which were sub-7lb RTR nitro Maxxes...using the Predator chassis and the either the Pro-Line Wide-Maxx suspension or stock Traxxas 2.5 suspension, with plastic bulks and everything else.
I am sure, though, that you could get a brushless Maxx just as light by using the carbon-fiber Gorillamaxx chassis and other well chosen parts. |

Good stuff! Thanks mark!
Does it void the warrenty to run without the fan? I'm thinking yes. |
Yes. It does void the warranty.

Are there any 23mm rims that are offset that fit Maxx size tires wheels not 40 series. I'm asking because the ones I have now seen above don't fit the badlands very well. The badlands slump over to one side and stay that way (until the turn back the other way) espcially when turning at speed. Thanx guys! -Zack |
Not sure if these are standard or 1/2" offset but the price is to cheap to pass up.
http://cgi.ebay.com/Pro-Line-23mm-Ve...lenotsupported This seller has THE BEST Prices on wheels and tires on the Net ! I bought 5 sets a couple months ago and now there even cheaper ?! |
Damn bondo! 4 LPR premounts $32 plus shipping!!!

You need to check all the auctions prior to comitting because there may be different listings for the same item for a much different price.

You know what? I think I have proline maxx size wheels! I bought them back in 06 or 07 and can't remember. Has anybody else noticed the slump?
