It's not easy running a one man show... I'm sure once it come out everyone will stop complaining and just buy it. You know patience is a virtue.

Every time I ask months apart he says a couple of days. You know how much that sucks to hear time and time again.

I'm going to make my own now. I'll buy his even after the fact if it ever comes along.

Here that Mike.... Sounds like you need to do another small run of those things. Surely for $300 each it would be worth it to do.:mdr:

Thanks a million MonsterMike. Wow I can hardly believe it. We have been hounding you for a long time on this one. Your going to sell 30 in a few minutes once the news hits the internet. I know I want like two or three of them myself, and I would be willing to bet that there are a few guys out there wanting to do the same thing either for multiple projects or just to stock pile something that we have been waiting so long for. I don't think you really appreciate how badly some people want these in hand. I for one am excited that you finally have the time to get these on the way. Really Mike thank you. Now I just hope that I can get my hands on some of them before they are cleared out.

CD Mount fits a lightning also you just have to drill holes in the UE middle skidplate. on the hardcore one you have to mod the chassis for the spur to clear on the Lightning you just dont use the tranny rails and it clears Np here are some pics

agent4146 01.11.2010 09:47 PM

I'll take one when they become available. I've been checking this thread periodically.. I'm really suprised this is gonna happen. Add me to the list if there is such a thing.

JERRY2KONE 01.12.2010 12:51 AM

Thats it.

You see what I mean mike there are allot more people interested in this then you might think. There is going to be a very high interest in purchasing these mounts and they are going to sell like hot cakes. I bet you could sell 100 of them in a couple of days. You might want to up the anti just a bit.

Or just up the price on the 30 you make.

Mike, will these work with the G3R like Arct1k's mount? Looks awesome!

suicideneil 01.19.2010 04:04 PM

Will do, just bolts in place of the tranny basically.

JoFreak 01.19.2010 04:06 PM

In the G3 yes, but not in the G3R, there most motors would collide with the rear shocks.
In Arctik's G3R they made holes into the lower chassis plate and mountet it directly behind the steering.

feistyacorn 01.19.2010 04:47 PM

I understand that I will have to drill out the lower chassis plate. I am more curious if the one being producing is like the one Arct1k used. For the Gorillamaxx users it would be nice if we could order it without the bottom plate (because we wouldn’t need it…. right?). It would save Mike some time and us some money.

JERRY2KONE 01.19.2010 06:53 PM

Not really.

It is the same unit. This center diff unit comes as a kit with everything you see in Arct1k's setup. Taking the bottom plate out of the kit will not really save RCM any time or money, becuase that is the easiest piece to make. The way this unit is produced makes it pretty much usable on any of the 3906 Maxx type setups. Some will require a little bit of cutting or rigging to make it fit the way you might want, but it will work.

JoFreak 01.19.2010 07:00 PM

Exactly, the bottom plate is by far the most simple part of it all.
Apart from including the screws maybe:lol:

Additional to the CD/Motor-mount release a new service/option in the shop would be great. A kind of web form, where you fill in the lengths you need for custom drive shafts.
Don't know what you guys think of it, but I would definately appreciate something like that:yes:

feistyacorn 01.19.2010 07:07 PM

Ok, well that is awesome that it will work. :intello: I just figured that the bottom plate is machined a little and I will never need it.

JoFreak - The custom drive shaft thing would be nice.

JERRY2KONE 01.19.2010 07:19 PM

More info

I am sure that there will be mroe info on this once most of us has them in hand. I would believe that you may be able to sell the bottom plate if you will not use it. Shafts would be nice, but it took long enough(two years) just to get these kits into production with everything else that MonsterMike has on his plate. Besides we already have resources for shafts through RCalloys.com if you need a special shaft made for your particular setup. If you are lucky enough to have a vehicle that this thing bolts right up to like the original tranny the shafts you have already will work fine.

_paralyzed_ 01.20.2010 11:49 AM

phone tree?

so, should we have a phone tree for when they hit the shelf?? If I miss out on this I'm done with r/c, my cybermaxx needs her heart back.

JERRY2KONE 01.20.2010 05:30 PM

Rcm word of mouth.

RCm word of mouth is all that we have here Harold. I can tell you that I am checking several times every day watching for them, and once they het the shelves I will jump on them. If I miss it, oh well. After I place my order I will post it up on here somewhere for everyone to know. Don't lose your mind over this Harold. You hastely sold yours for double what you paid for it. Now you have to wait it out like the rest of us. Be patient and things will work out just fine. The CyberMaxx will live again.
