Thanks Bryan, I'm getting ready to order some 4s packs and thought I'd better check !
Plenty of room, with the Hyperion pack in the pic on RCM site I thought the tray might only be 44-45mm wide. So you running 500mah packs ? I decided on 4000mah packs to try and lighten the load a bit . |
Yeah, I have two 5000 mah packs, and one 4500mah hardcase.
|
Hey Bryan, do you think a 51mm pack will squeeze into the tray ?
|
It's a tight 50mm..Theres plenty of material there you could dremel off if need be.
|
Yeah but option #2 requires more work. ;-)
Thanks Pal, Hope your having a good weekend. Ben raining all day here but we managed to get to the track for a couple packs this AM in Slash 4x4's. OBTW, the truck is a lot smaller that I thought it would be, Losi site said it's WB was 1/2" longet than my buggy and it's the same. Overall diamentions are so close to a 1/8scale buggy is kinda dissapoints me in that aspect. On the flip side I love my buggy so well see how this thing acts and handles ? |

Introducing Bad Ju Ju.
I run a MMM w/ 2200kv and 4s. I ran 6s once - over the curb, through the flowers, cartwheeling into the air, and ouch, right into the rear door of my pickup. I think 4s is plenty of power. The 1:8 buggy tires are mounted via a set of modified Revo hubs and the body is a trimmed ProGraphix Revo. Good stuff! |
Looks good...

Well I already have the RCM electric conv. for mine and I am wanting to change it to a sct now. Sounds like I will need
1. Slash 4x4 front bumper 2. Proline Protrak rims 3. Slash 4x4 front and rear body mounts I was wondering what body fits the best, what hex's will I need for the rims, what rear bumper fits best? If I forgot some thing please let me know. Also what dif. setup would be a good starting point for an indoor clay track, med. bite kinda tight? Also I will have to run 2s lipo, what would be a good motor setup for 2s? Thanks a lot for any help, Chad |

Best rear bumper is the rpm slash 4x4. Stock hexes can be shaved, or drill some slash hexes, or tekno hexes. Diff set up that I run on an extremely tight track with high bite. 7-10-3 With two cell I would recommend the Castle SCT edition 1410 motor, someone here is running it with great results over the newer 550 cans. Pair that up with a reasonable ESC and your going to be golden. Ofna SCRT10 body mounts work really well also. Some drilling and trimming is needed but they work really well. A few precautions, the rpm slash 4x4 front bumper works well, but if not reinforced it is a waste of your time. Also, I went 17mm hex so if you need a cheap set of protrack wheels PM me I have 4 sitting at home with no way of using them! |
Hey Reno,
I run my 10T on a tight ,fairly technical track but dry loose conditons, what diff wt would you recomend ? Right now I'm at 7/10/3 its works ok but I know it could be better just a little unsure would to do next. Any advice would be appreciated. |
So anybody notice with the new Ten-SCTE (http://www.losi.com/Products/Default...rodID=LOSB0127) Losi is now using a MOD1 plastic spur gear?
|
Makes sense unless Losi also wants to provide a set of wacky pitch pinions for the various setups people will use. If they made it RTR, they probably would have stuck with their oddball pitch and include the pinion (or two) specific to their stock setup.

I went to 6ish (mixed some 7 and 5) in the front just recently and it gives a little better rebound to gunning it out of a turn. |

20/52 (~40mph) 4S 4000 nanotech 45C (158x49 should fit?) Will this be a good setup? Just need to decide on a ESC now. |
