Both Tekin and Castle Creations are toying around with us. I really feel depressed...:(

At least Tekin is running their product. The only MMM sighting was in a Barbie PowerWagon or some such foolishness.

Very true - and for what it's worth, their testing seems to be working pretty well. I know they're trying to really push it to test it's limits and from what I see it's performing excellent. |
@ Duster_360: The new Novak system will be out early '08 with a little luck.

Will prob be out before we see a MMM..... |

That wasn't a MMM, that was two MM. But by god, we have a 10A BEC. Woot. *yawn* |
Aye, that was the case. Maybe CC should just bolt 2 MMs together in one plastic case and call it an MMM, then paint a feigao XL motor green to go with it....
|
I wonder if the production of the CC BEC was a something that holding up the MMM (maybe?????) Could be a sign of what to expect if the MMM ever does come out - if so we might be looking at a 6S ESC with a built-in programmable switching BEC - that would be very nice :)

I would like to think that the built-in UBEC wasn't the only thing holding it back! Switchers are actually quite simple really, and should be fairly easy to replace the linear BEC. No, I would think the problems stem more from the programming aspect and trying to get it to work with all motors (noteably slotted stator types).

The guys at CC might simply not know what the ESCs are capable of. I hooked up a Plettenberg Extreme on a MM and it is working great. Really smooth and it only got warm after about 15 minutes. In Plettenberg's website states they are built with 4 and 6 poles. I don't know what pole the Extreme motor has, but it is a great motor. I only used 7.4 volts and I'll try 11.1 volts some other time to see if it can handle it.
|
It is interesting given what were getting out of the MM why they couldn't "fuse" two together...
S/W aside... 6s on a 2 pole motor would be cool... |

Gents, ALL of these are reasons product development takes time. Yes, we are working on software to run ALL motors. The MMM does have features and capability the MM does not. This also takes time. Developing our own motors is also in development, but we are looking into releasing the ESC first. |
