Well I had the stock diffs with aluminum diff cups and the 3 mm screws. I broke up the spyder gears and stripped the teeth off the pinion a few times before changing over to the buggy diffs. I had the robinson as well.

With the titans i have never tore up a diff in my Emaxx ( and mine is pre wide-maxx upgrade) Ya'll must be very rough on your Maxxes. and i had my slipper as tight as it would go

Ok guys. After much thought and reading I just bought the new 1/8th buggy diff set and hybrid kit that Mike now has which is as strong if not stronger than the UE one. So now no breakage problems!!! Anyone interested in 2 brand new complete aluminum diffs? Used 1 time only! LOL

Sounds like a good choice. I was glad i bought them. Sounds like a good ebay item.

Here's a question. I see alot of pics with the speed controllers mounted on a plate/bracket that is mounted to the motor mount. Is this something that is just home made by so many people or is it a manufactured product that I can get somewhere? If it is available where can I get it? Just looking for a good spot to put my 9920.

Not ideal, but will do a job... https://ssl9.secure-svr.com/rc-solut...?iProductID=36

Thanks for the info maxxdude1234! Why not ideal? Is there a reason why this would not be a good spot to put it? It looked like it would be a good spot for keeping cool.

well it mounts up high and the lower the better

In case the truck flips you mean? Or to keep the cg low?

I like mine because I can rotate it sideways or even upside down. I stopped playing with the RC solutions because it is a bit short for the 9920. When securely mounted, red and black wires have to make too tight of a bend radius to be very practical. Drilling a large hole to put the wires through might work. (Through the tray and motor mount.) I just thought of that while I was typing. I will give it a shot when I figure out my controller issues. There is a guy on eBay that sells them for $8.00 his ID is spotswerth. I have purchased three items from him and had great results. I see he has one up for auction right now. I did a buy it now for the 8 bucks. Hope this helps. Cheers |
