Hey, sorry guys for the lack of updates/progress, I have just been super swamped with work and family, I haven't been able to work on this project much at all, but I'm going to try and at least get the drawings done to tide you guys over before I leave for a much needed Vacation. I have a few surprises in store but hopefully you'll see them soon. This is going to be unlike anything out there right now. I'm working to make something really special here, but it's taking a lot more time than I thought, so just stick with me guys and you won't be disappointed.

That looks great!! It makes you wonder why HPI hasn't done this already.

Must of burned themselves on their first try at 1/8th Truggy (the Hellfire). Management sometimes has a long memory for financial losses......

Why make truggy for 1000 people, if thay can make just another savage for the masses :)

Keep watching this post. The truggy will come.

thzero 10.29.2010 05:30 PM

All they have to do is rebadge the D8T... and done. Thats all they basically did with the Vorza.

Yea, sometimes people forget that Hot Bodies IS HPI, so HPI already has a few truggy platforms...D8T, 1/8 Lightning, 1/10 Lightning...

Hi guys, sorry it's been so long since my last update. I've been really swamped with work and school and I've just had a lot of bad breaks recently with family and such. I also bought a pretty nice CNC mill, and long story short I was scammed out of 6 grand and no mill for me. So because of that I'm really short on time/money right now. :( That's what I get for being trusting, never going to make that mistake again.
I haven't forgotten about this project, and I will eventually finish it, but it's just going to take me awhile.

Jahay- Of course you can give this a shot yourself, other people have done Savage truggies and I'd be glad to help in any way I can. My computer crashed with all of my drawings but I have drawn up a few new things since then so I can try to finish them up a bit and send them to you if you'd like, I'll PM you.

toplakd- That looks really nice, I was going to go with a bracing setup like that but ultimately I'm going to go a different route. Are you going to get everything machined?

toplakd 10.30.2010 04:17 PM

Hi.

I will machine all parts myself.
Different route instead of braces? Are you going to make custom bulkheads?
