Other than the Grasshopper and Associated RC10 I had over 20 years ago, the only one I own is my e-maxx (for now). I love it. I tend to beat the ever living snot out of it and found almost every out of the box part not up to par for my needs. So I reached into my pockets and upgraded!!! and the assebly of the upgrades to me is just as much fun as driving it... well almost anyway. I know in the future I want to build a custom maxx crawler, 2.2 clod axle crawler, and build a truggy. I'll probably go with a 8IGHT-T BL rig for that. however that is a few years down the line. The wife said 1 a year... and next year is definatly a BL maxx crawler.

I know the feeling. Once I got started with the E-Maxx I was hooked! Several thousand dollars later (and after having had several suspension systems, motors, etc. ) I'm still hooked on it. My Revo 3.3 is awesome but the tricked out maxx can easily hang with it if not outperform it!

Sorry Sylvester....

Still apart! I can't find the time to get it all reassembled! :035:

Too many family and work obligations....they seem to never stop!

I wish I knew someone I could trust to assemble it with the same care i would...I might farm it out....

mach1stang 05.21.2007 02:01 PM

i could put back together pro.

Thanks for the offer M1. Still planning to find time for it, but the Mustang NEEDS to be prepped for summer first. For my mental well being it needs to be out and tuned for June! I plan on some dyno time to tweak the new fuel system, supercharger, and the upgraded software in the engine control system. Plus the datalogger has been upgraded and a wide-band O2 monitor will be addded shortly.

The Nitto Drag Radials will take a beating this summer! LOL!

mach1stang 05.21.2007 02:24 PM

haha ok if you change your mind let me know, and we are doing a little work on our mustang but we have been busy with the real horse (devils).

MGT - 1
Hpi - 2
Traxxas -3

That he way i see it , and have a one of each

offroader 09.22.2007 12:17 AM

Traxxas Revo all the way!

Getter Robo 11.18.2007 12:05 PM

Hmmm since an flmrpm supermaxx doesn't count as a traxxas manufactured product for me, my vote goes for losi followed by MGT and TRX. I dun like hpi ;P

aqwut 11.18.2007 12:34 PM

I like CEN for 1st.. HPI for 2nd.. and Traxxas for 3rd... Those are my thoughts...

After Market.

What really makes any of these vehicles great is the after market products that we purchase from places like RC Monster:angel:. Out of the box they all have much to be desired. Thank God companies like UE, FLM, Hardcore, Integy, Quark, MGM, Maxxamps, Neu, and Novak are out there looking to improve on what the vehicle manufacturers failed to do. Provide us with parts that will hold up to the adult punishment that we force upon our very expensive toys. None of them can do it alone, that is obvious. Nothing in this world is perfect and we are faced with finding the best combination which works for our own individual requirements so that we can try to compete with everyone else. Sorry that you feel that what we do is play with little stupid trucks. This is how genious engineers are born, and how retired engineers keep their skills alive. Sure a lot of us are just out here having fun, but a lot of others are findng out about the engineering gifts that they/we were born with, and just how to use them in a way that satisfies our own curiosity. The thing that I have always been very much impressed with about this sport is that even though there is a huge level of competitiveness between us, we still manage to be here to help out anyone who asks no matter what part of the world we come from. That is totally cool:lol:.
