After looking at the transmission i finally know where to get the parts for my SRT to toughen up the tranny, I'll keep the ball diff bit the metal top and idler gears will be in my SRT. BTW they should have brought back the SRT as a legends model and put the brushless in it;))

I also thought the esc and motor together was $300. I would also laugh my head off if Traxxas beat Team Tekin or Castle Creations in making a capable ESC for mt's capable of 5s/6s.

I agree, but i think they will have to get to 200.00 for the system in order to shake the walls of castle. What would be really funny is if someone uses the traxxas esc with a novak motor and wins the nationals with it

This has given me a whole new shopping list of goodies for my rusty which is just entering the beginning stages of it's plan, that now needs to be replanned!

I just hope that they hit the right price point with the RTR and it's a success. It will only drive them to further their BL development!

RTR BL 4tecs, jato's, revo's and maxxes as the quick easy fix, and silence the masses over on the Traxxas forums. With the possibilty of new designed bl based products in the future.

It can only do good for the RTR industry. How long until companies like HPI and Tamiya take the plunge? I like the idea of a 60+ mph rtr bl baja5b :D

Also with a major rtr manufacturer making this kind of power with out mods can only give compnies like castle, quark, what have you a swift kick in the ass to stay the "top dogs"!

It also looks like the case has screws. This measn it'll be easyt to see whats under the hood on this thing.

Hmmm...I must admit, I'm a little disappointed with this. After all the hype (and given that the E-Maxx is pretty much the only truck that Traxxas haven't updated yet) I really was expecting something much bigger along the lines of a new electric truck.

Still...it's a decent looking piece of kit and it certainly can't hurt the brushless scene! Good work Traxxas. Not as good as I'd hoped lol, but still good work.

On the one hand, I'm happy that something Electric rec'd SO much hype on the Traxxas forum. You know all the nitro guys are fuming mad for wasting so much time on a 60+ page thread.

However I continue to be totally dissapointed by Traxxas and their lack of support to the E-MT crowd. The E-Maxx goes unchanged and the Rustler gets it's second refresh in 6 months? I wanted a new Electric Monster from Traxxas.

I agree totally. And I think this will really help the BL market. I'm sure some people view BL as a complicated and confusing topic. The fat that a very reputable RTR company is doing this is very nice.

With the advertised speeds, I wonder how long it is before nitro is the niche and BL is the norm? :)

Traxxas is starting small with the 1/10 size stuff, getting people into the BL frame of mind, and then I think they will eventually release larger systems. After all, BL is the future.

I am only wondering one thing; is this made by novak? i highly doubt that. (If it is a novak, it would be the first sensorless brushless novak. this would open a different can..)

if it's not a novak, that means the market is open for a real brushless setup producer for the stock maxxes. So far i like what i see on the traxxas BL.. reasonable kv values, looks like a decent setup to me.

I had heard that the Brushless program and manufacturing was being done by Traxxas "in house".

I wonder who the guy worked for then..
