Nice video Mark. You just need to get a cameraman so you can concentrate on driving and flipping your truck :intello:.

Just have your daughter do the filming for you :lol::mdr::na::na:.

And what's up with your music? Aren't you too old for it :rofl::rofl:?

jayjay283 10.05.2008 12:37 AM

Thank you. I got that track from the GumBall rally vid, but I like anything with a good beat. I think my patients's ear would bleed if they heard what was on my IPod. That is my only "tekno" tract.

Thanks. I am glad that I helped to spread the addiction. I just tried to get a levee jump but it started raining. I am going to put a skate ramp on top of the levvee and get some monster air.:gasp:

mkrusedc 11.09.2008 01:39 PM

Still almost done...

Funny how you constantly change these trucks:whistle: . Well here are my lastest upgrades:

Strobe slipper sprong:

http://pic20.picturetrail.com/VOL143.../342416417.jpg

RPM True-Track arms with 17mm Ofna wheel hexes. That 3mm sure does look like a big difference. Yes, I did loctite everything.

http://pic20.picturetrail.com/VOL143.../342416397.jpg

Proline Badlands on Maximizer bead locks.

http://pic20.picturetrail.com/VOL143.../342416351.jpg

Now, I am just waiting on a single motor plate from _paralyzed_ and a 5s NeuEnergy battery from Mike and then maybe I'll be done.

david lamontagn 11.09.2008 04:20 PM

Very nice truck!! I would like to be like you and keep my truck more long time:whistle:
I sell it when i've try it a time or two:whip:

GorillaMaxx360 11.09.2008 06:12 PM

our trucks are starting to look the same.

mkrusedc 11.10.2008 11:42 PM

:yipi: I just got my NeuEnergy 5s BRICK from Mike. Now all I need is a single motor plate to fit this bad boy and some Powerpole connectors...............

It is huge!

What do you think about mounting the battery across the chassis like this? COG with the battery in that position, front to back, is just about at the pressure plate between the spur and the tranny.

BL_RV0 11.11.2008 11:30 AM

How much was it?

mkrusedc 11.11.2008 11:44 AM

$208.19 total with tax and shipping from Mike.

George16 11.11.2008 06:46 PM

Man, that's a brick!!!!! You can mount it that way using a plastic battery tray to keep it from sliding or just make sure it's snug.

Reminded me of this:

mkrusedc 11.27.2008 10:18 PM

Well, you guys warned me. I have not put a flat spot on my Neu's shaft...yet. I have been bashing for months with a tight grub screw and loctite until today. One minute into a bash with an extra 3.7 volts and I lost the pinion. Luckly no damage to the spur.

I talked my wife into giving the Dremel (one of my Christmas presents) early. I'll be grinding.

BL_RV0 11.28.2008 01:51 PM

How did you survive rc without a dremel?

mkrusedc 01.22.2009 12:52 PM

Here is Mike's custom battery tray. I thought with the way I drive my battery needed a little more protection:

Not bad. It is right at the spur, which puts it just slightly behind the center of the truck. A wheelie bar is going to be needed.

Latest upgrade -- Strobe Braces and Knuckle Heads

My latest upgrades Strobe Braces and UE Knuckle Head shock towers. :intello: I had to change out the FLM shock towers to the UE because the UE were 3 mm thinner. It was either that or shave the Strobe brace like suicideneil did. I also had to shave the top of my FLM hybrid bulk because the UE tower has an oblique bottom instead of a square one like the FLM.

Clearence issues:

http://pic20.picturetrail.com/VOL143.../354835910.jpg

Rear:

http://pic20.picturetrail.com/VOL143.../354938189.jpg

Front:

http://pic20.picturetrail.com/VOL143.../354939888.jpg

suicideneil 02.15.2009 08:43 PM

That looks alright, no butchery visable unlike my setup (I plan to keep my truck till Im grey and old, its my pension plan so I figure the rarity value will outway the modifications hopefully :intello:).

Do like the way knuckleheads look compared to the FLMs too

Bigdumredneck 02.21.2009 11:04 PM

Those Strobe braces look great on there! Im glad they they found a good home!

Thanks Jack. You have helped to complete my build.......I think

jayjay283 02.24.2009 09:06 AM

Completed build it think NOT ! You previously mentioned you may goto 8 Super Shocks. If you want another 4 to complete the set and a new unopened spring set and 3 kyosho boots, maybe we can work out a deal and get some to the Golden goose. If not, perhaps Jerry or Lito has a home for them ? Mark gets 1st declination, but im not going to use them. I have finally gotten my 8 Losi 8T rear shocks working perfect on my Gmaxx and wont be needing these.

I know you've had since the first post, but how do you like the GorrilaMaxx single speed? I'm thinking about getting one my self. Was there much to cutting off the input shaft? I mean was it difficult?

Thanx,
Zack

I actually bash the hell out of it. :intello: My wife rathers that I play with 2,000+ toy truck than a 20 year old blond :gasp:

It was easy. I love it. Less weight, less to break. You don't really need a 2 speed with a high power BL set up.

Here is my lame try at a build thread for the single speed. If that doesn't work it does come with instrctions:
