Only if you don't know what you're doing :lol:.

I never had a hard time rebuilding shocks or diffs. I always use naptha to clean the old silicone oil from the shocks or diffs, wash it denatures alcohol and air dry them using my compressor.

I usually lose that part then make a large order of spare parts that I need and forget the 1 part that I need. Then I have to place an order for just that one part (shipping sucks) and once I get it all back together I put my hand in my pocket and there's the part I needed all along.

Did that Saturday, needed the 87 tooth spur to make my SC10 brushed to give to the neighbor, couldn't find the spur as I'd run it brushless 75t. But it came with an 87t just where did I put it ? 3 hours of looking I gave up. Ordered it from tower $3 + $5 shipping and found it 30 minutes later.. $8 could feed me all day in this economy. Booo !

When you've been waiting for that shipment to show up and the day it does your weren't there to sign for it. So now you have to wait another day to get it from the post office.

UPS's stupid ass rules about having to first try and deliever the package before they will hold it for you to come pick up.

you actually clean out the old oil!!??:surprised:
i never do that, i thought it was too hard, so the best i do is cycle the piston up/down a lot and stick a rag in there as far as i can to get as much as i can out. then continue with the rest of the re-building.

You stick a rag in there! :surprised:

I've never been as thorough as either of you. Mine just sit upside down for a while. Now that I think about it. I haven't rebuilt too many shocks, changed the fluid on a lot of them. but not too many complete rebuilds under the belt.

"well not sure, but quite a lot, so no problem and I would like to race on top level, so really seriously" ok so you link him 500$ truggy, 300$ radio and 300$ combo... no batteries or servo... they send you back a link to chinese RTR combo 1/8 truggy for 300$ with a "I guess this is looking about the same, but way cheaper, what do you say?" grrr

If I had a £ for everytime I've been asked or seen questions like that...
