My heatsink is 4-5mm in thickness. What motor are you running?

cart213 09.26.2006 01:57 PM

My motor is a Neu 1512/1.5D (2000 kv).

neweuser 09.26.2006 01:59 PM

There you go! I run the wanderer. The 4 pole motors seem to do better than the 2 pole. More efficient. thanks man!

Serum 09.26.2006 05:28 PM

It's the segmented magnets that make them more efficient, thise neu's seem to be nice motors, i am waiting for mine to arrive..

aqwut 09.26.2006 06:38 PM

Do the 4 pole neu motors run at lower RPMS? or are they capable of the same rpms as the 2 poles...

Serum 09.27.2006 01:44 AM

The 4 poles need more work from the esc to do (twice as much) to run at the same rpm's, but they can run the same rpm's

sorry to stray on your topic... but comments must be made, as i am no liar, or one to 'set up' a crash picture....what do you take me for??? i'm no 12 year old kid who wants to make myself popular by showing what i have done to my gear with my crap driving habits - I haven't even been online enough lately to care what anyone thinks -lol-

http://www.putfile.com/danhfvcsd/images - scroll till you see images labelled 'aftermath' It caused a fair amount of damage.... the photo was taken straight after i hit the pole, and i hadn't moved the truck an inch.... i do agree tho - it doesn't look bad in that shot - but what can i say?? that's just how the cookie crumbled :)

The pole is around a foot or so deep as a guess, but it wasn't moving back into place when i tried pushing it back into place... and as it's a fairly new area, i wouldn't say it was rotten.... and no - it really was straight before i hit it - same as the others in the pics....

Here you go - you can see the ground around the edge of the pole here where it's been pushed around by the force of the truck hitting it at WOT....

Scouts honour - nothing is pre-fabbed here :)

back on topic tho.... Spewing to hear about your controller man :/

aqwut 09.27.2006 05:38 AM

how bad was the damage to the RC Truck? When did you hit that pole dude?

Serum 09.27.2006 06:30 AM

No need to feel offended, i just posted that that pole must have been rotten or not deep into the ground. It's simple rules of nature... I am not taking you for a 12 year old, but if you simple read my post, you would realize you didn't need to feel offended.

i said, not deep in the ground or rotten. Which was clearly a good observation.

Please don't feel offended, it was not my intention.

Seems to be that i am not the only one here who is being straight forward... LOL

aqwut 09.27.2006 08:30 AM

Can't we all just get along... :)
corny, but I couldn't help it...

Serum 09.27.2006 10:26 AM

neweuser 09.27.2006 10:29 AM

nieles 09.27.2006 10:31 AM

Serum 09.27.2006 10:33 AM

It's all possible here... LOL. They are planting a big park in front of my house.. with mainly grass and shells. Only a few minutes drive to the woods..

I am figuring out how to get a track down in the woods, without too much trouble.. Looking for the perfect spot..

Serum 09.27.2006 02:58 PM
