you may want to think twice about bashing that body, some are selling for good prices even with battle scars on them. i sold one for $200 with my lst roller(missing rx/tx only) and didn't know about the recall now i seen an ad where the guy is asking $100 for the body.

WHAT?! that thing can go for that much?! i have a maxx-length one that's unpainted - hmmmmm....

thanks!

waaaaay better than stock. this can explain the specific details that make it better. but it handles like a completely different truck - almost like it's not even an e-maxx anymore.

she's been sold. i'm planning to tearfully clean it up, box it and ship it out this weekend.

goodbye UE. it's been fun. kind of.

Scott,
I feel your grief. I have followed your posts.

ClodMaxx 10.19.2007 09:26 AM

thanks mark. it's officially the end of an...obsession, lol.

because of all of what i went through for that truck, my plan is to put the LMT (which i kept - plus the MM and a123 packs) in a truck that can be STOCK (don't even remember what that is anymore) and hold up. either the new emaxx or a LST2.

lincpimp 10.19.2007 10:06 AM

Sounds like a good idea. I think that the new emaxx would be a great basher. Maybe upgrade to rpm arms and shock towers. I have an aftershock that I need to convert. It came with al diff cases, and I purchased a set of nova rc 7075 diff cups too. The truck is brand new, so I will be upgrading a never run set of diffs. I have a strong feeling (maybe I need to use the potty?!) that the emaxx will be alot lighter than the lst/aftershock, and lighter is better in my book. We shall see, cause I will be buying a new emaxx as soon as it comes out!

I think the movie Gone Baby Gone open's in theater's today. Seems appropriate. :gasp:

Good to hear the LST2 dream still lives on in some fashion though. I'd have to go 8ight or 8ight-T

I'm anxious to see how you'll go with the new & improved E-Maxx. Hurry Up Already!!!

squeeforever 10.19.2007 08:08 PM

I'm with RCShocker. I would go wtih a 8ight or a Muggy.

suicideneil 10.20.2007 12:44 PM

Noooooooooooooooo........
Oh well, I understand why you sold it, but it is still a sad day. As for what next- New E-maxx, it is such a fine looking truck, with all the upgrades coming as 'stock', that it would be criminal not to buy one. Add the bonkers lehner to the single motor mount option and you would have one mean looking & performing truck.

Good decision. I got rid of most of my bling trucks..

Go for a good setup and a fair tough truck/truggy.. buy loads of batteries and have fun without worrying about a truck getting damaged.

That sound's like some very good advice Dr. Phil, ermm, uh um doc Serum :intello:

Good stuff for a guy that let a beautiful dream machine go.

But just like 1:1's, you cant keep them all. And for ALOT of guys, the build is the best part. Chop,Cut,Rebuild, and then Cut'em Loose. Either way, the guy know's what he's doing.

ClodMaxx 10.21.2007 12:04 PM

i like that - yes, good advice dr. rene

i definitely agree to try and get something that can be as tough as possible in stock form - and hopefully have a truck that handles/corners well too, but most importantly be super tough. while the new emaxx is still a rather outdated machine (IMO), it sounds like it'll fit the durability bill. those 3.3 sliders still worry me, but even if they can last a few months before needing to be replaced, it'll be much cheaper than the SM ever was. the LMT on 5s a123 packs should be able to test the durability well. :diablo:

i cleaned the SM up thoroughly yesterday, and she's boxed and ready to go out tomorrow morning. i think the post office employee will have to pry it from my fingers to ship it out... i love that truck, but i think it's the best decision. i got really good money for it - who knows if that would've happened in a year or more if i waited.
