Well, your father must agree that a dual 2280 setup on 72 cells is just a bit too much for an emaxx..

Too much, I doubt it would be controllable, I wouldn't have fun using something that stupid powerful.

I once saw a boat with dual 22 Lehners and 64 cells. It was made by the BK guys, and they said it's the first run. Must have been, both shafts ripped at the first punch of the trigger. :eek:
The guy just floored it, I think. Man, this huge baby did a nice kick start! And then they had to pull it in with a rowboat. :p

@nick It depends on which lehner you get and turn. Some of them motor should take 40 cells.

16 cells is only roughly 1600 watts. You don't need a 22xx motor for only 1600 watts. A "L" or "XL" motor will handle that just fine. Once you start going above 2000 watts, then the 22xx series starts to really make sense otherwise, it's more motor than the batteries can handle.

I see your point on that lipomaxx. I think though 1600 watts from every motor is not equal. The 22 series puts out more torque from a larger diameter armature. There for it will pull the heavier trucks with ease on 16 cells.

;) I've alredy seen him and I bought some remedies for my B4 as well( 14 IBC3800 cells). The buggy will surely be a big shot when I put in my 1930/5 and the new 18.149 esc that I've received yesterday.
I think the 22 series can handle from 6-30+ cells which can deliver up to 3000 watts or possibly more.

Whats so magical about 1600W? Would a 7XL be capable of that?

The 7Xl is over 1600 watts and the more the watts the cooler the motor and the more effecient it is.

More watts doesn't necessarily make a motor run cooler. To a point it will, but once you pass that efficient point (like during peaks), it is just going to heat up.
