Too cool. I was going to ask what you were doing up so late. All our friends on the east cost are going to be getting up soon. Now I see what has kept the mad scientest at his lab so late. Nice work.

TD this is by far the oddest but coolest thing i have seen. Good luck with the project i will be watching in excitement.

t-maxxracer32 10.04.2008 04:15 PM

hey shaun ive been playing paintball for about 5 years now and it is crazy to see this thing inside of an RC car!

my 2 favorite hobbies being combined into one!!:lol:

couple things i want to mention.
1. C02 is not the best for that type of gun especially if you plan on using full auto. it should not ruin anything but you may blow hoses due to the freezing c02.

2. the hopper you got may not be able to keep up with the gun so make sure you keep the eyes on your gun ON or it may start to chop balls in the barrel. which will result in you having no aim and may hit things that you did not intend on hitting:gasp::surprised:

3. this is one AWSOME project!! if you have any troubles with the paintball gun hit me up. i should be able to help you out!

good luck man!

Silver_Flame101 10.04.2008 05:03 PM

Man this is a cool project. What are you using to secure the gun and tank?

TDC57 10.04.2008 05:22 PM

Thanks for the comments guys..

I’ve got questions paintball questions

• Can you please look at these shoots and then try your best to answer the following questions:

• Will this bottle setup work ??, I basically removed everything down to as far as it goes and I'm doing a direct connect now.

• Do I need to worry about any air reducers, diaphragm or what not’s ??

• Where can I buy this small black house ?? if I extend it will have a negative effect one the gun ??

• I'm thinking about just permanently locking the trigger switch on the main circuit board and running the it’s power supply to my 3rd channel on my RX (that way in theory) I just need to hit my 3rd switch and it goes live and starts shooting (???)

• let’s talk hopers shall we.. Do I want to use just a gravity feed one or the one I have ?

• I’ve gone to several paint stores but I couldn’t find a smaller one (is there on
• out that holds like 50-75 shoots in lue of 200 ??

• will my 9mm bottle get things cold with this setup (?) if so what insulation should I use to protect what little hose I have

• Any ideas on what to use the cover / protect the curict board, you’ll notice that I have elevated above the Truggy drivetrain so I'm good there but I need to cover / protect the boards from dirt and bashing..

More questions to come.. Thanks in advance for your time..

Shaun.

Look at the clearance I have, but how do cover / protect the board

http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/i...7/IMG_3590.jpg

Ok this is basicly where I whant it, I just need to extend the small black hose (bottle to gun / curict board) but can I, and where can I get the hose ???

Last questions. Will I ever get rid of my headache (ooooowwwwww) my head still hurts from all the K1..

If that workedi would be very suprised. you have no regulator for the co2 tank so there will be WAY too much pressure for those poor hoses.

• Do I need to worry about any air reducers, diaphragm or what not’s ??

Im guessing you mean regulator? ya you will definetly need one of these to make the gun be able to hold all the pressure from the co2.

• Where can I buy this small black house ?? if I extend it will have a negative effect one the gun ??

here is a link to the solenoid hoses http://www.paintballgateway.com/wgpaupnho.html extending it should not effect it too much but again.... i am almost positive you will need the regulator that game with the gun

• I'm thinking about just permanently locking the trigger switch on the main circuit board and running the it’s power supply to my 3rd channel on my RX (that way in theory) I just need to hit my 3rd switch and it goes live and starts shooting (???)

this could work the problem is that when you hold down the trigger while turning on power to the gun it will go into programming mode.. so it will not shoot. maybe you could get a servo attach a horn to it and just turn the servo causing the horn to hit the trigger when you want it to shoot

• let’s talk hopers shall we.. Do I want to use just a gravity feed one or the one I have ?

since you already bought an electric one i dont see a reason to get a gravity feed. they are basically the same size. you could go with something smaller such as this http://www.paintballgateway.com/50ropohocl.html

• I’ve gone to several paint stores but I couldn’t find a smaller one (is there on
• out that holds like 50-75 shoots in lue of 200 ??
above link
• will my 9mm bottle get things cold with this setup (?) if so what insulation should I use to protect what little hose I have

i honestly dont think it will work the way you have it. turn the gun on. if the hoses do not blow immediatly i will be very very suprised. even if they do not blow then... i am sure it will blow after a couple shots. these guns are meant to run at around 250 psi and without a regulator you will be well over the limit. you could buy a low pressure compressed air tank but these are much larger and much more expensive
http://www.paintballgateway.com/dxscoairtasy.html

• Any ideas on what to use the cover / protect the curict board, you’ll notice that I have elevated above the Truggy drivetrain so I'm good there but I need to cover / protect the boards from dirt and bashing..

electrical tape? you wont be launching this thing or bashing it crazy while the gun is attached im guessing?

More questions to come.. Thanks in advance for your time..

Shaun.

hopefully some of these answers are what your looking for!

That’s GREAT INFORMATION THANK YOU!!!

More questions or comments:
On the back of gun I’ve a star that I thought controls the amount of air ?? if not what does it do ??

What the hell is this and do I need it ??

http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/i...7/IMG_3593.jpg

So if I go back to the setup I’ll be fine because the regulator in the handle right ??

http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/i...7/IMG_3594.jpg
http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/i...7/IMG_3595.jpg

this star controls air for the bolt that is inside the gun (the bolt moves back and forth shooting the ball out) it does not control how much air goes into the solenoid hoses. if you mess with the knob it will cause the ball to drop extremely back and probably will make you chop. id keep it at stock settings. if you want to adjust how fast the balls go then you need to adjust your regulator.

heres a quick explanation.... star is what makes the gun consisten.
reg is what tells how fast to let the ball go

http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/i...7/IMG_3593.jpg
basically what this does is it allows you to put the tank in your pocket. its for people who go in the desert and want to be all sneaky.

correct. you just need this reg and it will be good.

should not matter if the hose is extended. you may lose some accuracy consistency or fps but im sure you really dont care about that
Thanks a buch..

glad i can finally help:na:

Thanks again for everything Sir..

TDC57 10.05.2008 04:57 AM

More money. More money..

After reading up on what I should done a week or two ago (thanks for education T_maxxracer)I went back to the stores and got the following
• Smallest high pressure regulator I could find
• Smallest scuba compressed air I could tank I could find. (this shouldn’t get cold)
• And I got extra tubing to accommodate for the relocation of the tank..
