your complaining about the color of the motor........ is it going to sit on a helf an dloo pretty and never get driven probably not so who cares its a motor run it and dont worry about how pretty it is

If that post isn't accurate, I wouldn't recomend buying a NeuMotor neu just for the colour anyway, the castleneus are much better suited for a car...

And also, you'll probably be able to buy it under traxxas bandname for a markup lol.

Why are you such a nice man? Wow

If you have ever looked at my racers, I put just as much time into wiring them up, and making them look nice as I do setting them up, I have no shelf queens, I was never complaining, when there is two choices, I can buy what ever I need to.

Yeah I agree. I also like the nice long motor wires, so I can have the motor wires go right to the ESC.

Thanks for the help guys. Much appreciated.:mdr:

Guys, back on topic please...

Its personal preference on what color motor you want... the color has no relation to what type of person, car, etc or how its driven or lack there of.. End it.

Back on topic.. The motor wires are great but when your esc is close to your motor they become a pain and beleive me-they throw up interference if you dont have them twisted... My truck still is only getting 50ft range. =/

50 feet?!? that sucks. what Transmitter and receiver are you using?

DRIFT_BUGGY 11.03.2008 04:48 PM

The motor should be red, red goes faster

Well I like the length, and then I can always shorten them if I need to

Are you using 2.4 ghtz? I have never had ANY range issues. With any of my BL stuff, especially in something like my Cyclone, everything is jam packed in the car, and the RX is in-between the servo, and esc

No it should have horizontal flames- that makes things go faster.

Raze ST Truggy 11.03.2008 06:26 PM

I get crappy range with all my BL stuff also, so I'm subscribing to this thread to see is it's my raidio's that suck or if my setup's need some rearanging.

I had a m8 and got crap range with my brushless set up. So I bought the spektrum system for it when they first came out (alittle better 200ft range max) So the m-11 came out and I bought it but the spectrum system from the m-8 didnt fit. So back to the really bad fm reception. Bought the spectrum system once they mad the board changes to it. With the new one I couldnt get over 100ft or so. Then futaba put out the 3pm 2.4 and now get about 1000ft of range wit no issues ever. My neighbor has a dx2 spectktrum and my brother has the dx3.0 and my futaba has twice the range of them.

wait... twisting the motor wires limits interference?
did i misunderstand?:oh:

No, you read right. It's common knowledge (or maybe not?) that twisting wires so they intersect as close to 90* as possible helps reduce noise. If the wires are kept short, noise is minimized (and would be hard to twist anyway). Personally, using a 2.4GHz radio along with keeping the antenna away from high current wires is plenty.
