Thanks Guys.

You are going to need 1/8th diffs then.

Thanks for the compliment! Yes I polish all my own stuff.

The towers are Unlimited Engineering Supermaxx "Knucklehead" Towers. Made from 7075 aluminum they are stronger and lighter (and nicer looking IMO) than the FLM's or any others I've seen.

FLM added more holes to their version for additional adjustability and they are less expensive. Both make for great choices. Why squee wasn't impressed with the UE Knuckleheads disturbs me. They are the finest towers out there, or at least have been for years (with no real competition!).

Currently the FLM offers a nice alternative and there is a Ti tower available that incorporates mounting holes for a wing mount which is nice. I think both are nice and I'd consider buying them.

I tried the Ti towers with UE shocks and was not inpressed with the handling they gave me. I liek my UE towers, but make my truck sit up too high, so I went with the Nova towers, also 7075 aluminum....very nice IMO....

What shocks are you using? I'm kinda surprised it sits too high with the knuckleheads. You were using the racer-X version like in my pic right? Or were you using the Wide-Track version which has fewer adjustment locations?

Nope, same as you. But my BODY sits too high, not the suspension. So I need a lower shock tower set up. The nova gives this to me using the muitlator shocks as well instead of the UE shocks. The mutilators are just shorter that the UE shocks, the same shock really, both are Ofna. The only real difference is the coated shaft, but I'm using boots, so that really does not matter to me. So now, my body sits lower, or will when I get the damn towers! They shipped regular mail from CA, not sure why they would do that!

Uh Oh! That means 5-7 days!

Post pics when you get it together with the Novas. I'd like to see what they look like.

Here are what the towers look like. Get them thru Mike if you do get them.

But they take a shorter style shock to work. The muilators are about the same size as the Big bores, so these will work good.

The way they made my truck handle...it seemed to be all over the place with those particular towers...and it mattered not where I located the shocks

Been away for a while but back with a vengence( kinda) I get torn between to many hobbies. Been working on some airplanes for spring and doing some flying indoors:003:

Sporting a new look for the Emaxx. I wimped out on the hybrid bulks and went cheap and picked up the 3.3 grey ones. I got the revo cups for the shocks to set on which gives me the clearance I need over the sliders/3.3 upper arms(thanks Serum). I did spring for the FL shock towers and that really helped running the powerstroke shocks. The stock towers compressed the shocks to much and would'nt allow the truck to bottom, only the shocks would bottom out, leaving the skids 1/2" off the ground. Finally got some real tires, proline mashers on hpi wheels and the Excursion body from hotbodies. I was dissapointed with the this body as the holes were drilled a little off and the antenna hole is on the wrong side. I also picked up some new slipper pegs and the MGT spring like Procharged suggested. Finally got it together tonight and went to the park. After 10 minutes I snapped a center shaft(2nd time) so I guess its time for some real center shafts. Any word on procharge's slipper and the Mamba monster max?

On another note I'm looking for the "stiff" spring set for the powerstrokes, looks like its discontinued from most sources, any Ideas? What weight oil should I run to accomodate 3-5' jumps? I think I got 30w in them now which don't seem to do much.

See ya, J.
