You really should shrink those motor bullet connectors, you're begging for a massive short, then death of another v3 MMM.

I have one CEN project ongoing right now, soon will post pics too
But I have couple recomendations about CEN improovment
Change F/R diff gearing it will allow you to use smaller spur gear 66t vs 46t, i will do it too later.
info can be found here: http://www.truggyracers.com/forum/in...c=14710&st=180
Use CEN buggy diff braces it will allow some flex and improve handling
Now your weight balance is way back
If you change motor position, center diff gear and move battery more to centre you will gane huge improovments in handling.

Wont break even with the shortcut. Tried with 2 shortcutted motors. And Castle has tested it too and said on this forum. No failures.

Same. I need to gear up the truck to get my speed back. 35mph is boring....
Im thinking making a CORR truggy hybrid. the hardcorr or desert rat for the slash or slayer would look awesome on the truck.

Holeshots are holding up well so far for grass/dirt andsome car chasing.

Haha, fail.

BL_RV0 12.13.2008 11:57 AM

No, that was an epic fail, ben.

brushlessboy16 12.13.2008 12:28 PM

Not even close.. working on a motor mount in CAD so i can have it machined.

Whats the difference between 7075 and 6061 aluminum?

BL_RV0 12.13.2008 12:40 PM

7075 is harder, stronger, harder to work with and a tad heavier.

tom255 12.13.2008 02:06 PM

there are 3 kinds of 7075 Al and T6 grade its pretty expensive too at least in europe. 6061-T6 will do job fine as motor mount about 8-6mm thick

Takedown 12.13.2008 02:50 PM

I 2nd that. 6061 aluminum is very rigid. Its what swami-rc uses for his swami bars. I landed on that thing so many times on cement from atleast 10-15feet up and it didnt even bend a little.

BL_RV0 12.13.2008 03:45 PM

That's with a ~4-5lb rustler though.

brushlessboy16 12.13.2008 05:20 PM

1 Attachment(s)
I was talking to a machinist for a little bit, he says that 6061 will be fine.
here is what i came up with

trev3813 12.13.2008 06:08 PM

o0o, I likey

BL_RV0 12.13.2008 06:15 PM

Better than that crappy looking piece of angle al.

Takedown 12.13.2008 08:53 PM

Nice.

brushlessboy16 12.15.2008 09:03 AM

Did A little revision on the mount- now it has a recessed area for the pinion to sit, and a slot for an allen wrench to fit. Now i need an M3 drill and tap set to go with my m4 so i can finish it after its machined.

trev3813 12.16.2008 08:27 PM

o0o Nice, can't wait to see the finished product.

brushlessboy16 12.21.2008 09:03 PM

Well it was a good day, Mike(eovnu87435ds) came over, Taped up the cars to run wet weather... was all well and good romping around in the mud and puddles(the cars), until Mike's transmistter decided not to cooperate. So after spending an hour diagnosing the Transmitter. we started work on the evader aka Supervader... Modded a savage 49t spur gear to fit it along with grinding the transcase, motor plate and fins on the motor to get the 8l(finned) to fit..

This was the matrix after 5 mins
http://i263.photobucket.com/albums/i...9895301208.jpg
good times..

trev3813 12.21.2008 09:19 PM

Yer camber looks to be off in the rear :mdr:

brushlessboy16 12.21.2008 09:44 PM

Nope, thats the toe in, makes it look odd

brushlessboy16 12.22.2008 01:32 PM

If All goes well, in 2 days i will have a new set of lipos and a new servo.
Now that I'm running 4s it allows me to get rid of that rediculous spur gear.. I plan to step down to a 52t spur so i can flip the diff and run my motor up front, and saddle'd lipos in the rear.
I found these trays, but they would need battery straps etc.
http://images.amainhobbies.com/image...e/losa4322.jpg

I was also looking at cutting the trays out of an emaxx chassis to have the benifits of hold down bars...

So my after xmas shopping list is:
-Kyosho Lightweight 52t spur gear.$25
-Custom motor mount- $10
-Buggy chassis braces and belcrank support- $10
-Miscelaneous screws, bolts etc-TBD
