Moller...it would be a damn shame If your computer or Internet crashes and you miss out on the first batch of conversions....lol. Jk
Hottie Yup:( i will even go to the bank tomorrow and make sure i have enough money;D (keep the price down mike) Mwhaha
Hahaha....it's hOOtie by the way :)
lol, Freudian slip?
maybe i think your a hottie? Who knows XD
But then hOOtie, just take the compliment;D |
Dont recall it ever being mentioned, is this going to be mod1 gearing? Also thanks for the update Mike!
It's been mentioned; it will be 32p and 52 tooth.
32p....
So 17-18t pinion on 4s 1700kv would be acceptable w/ the 52t spur?
i would like it to be mod1 :) i have mounted a 43t losi 8ight E spur on my ten-t :) It needs a little work, but seems to fit
The spurs are mod.8 - basically metric 32p. IIRC, I used a 16t pinion on the 52t spur with the 1900Kv Tekin setup on 4s(truck hasn't yet returned from the RCX SHOW). We have a full range of the mod.8 pinions(12T - 26T) and prefer the higher resolution and efficiency of the mod.8 vs. the mod1 gears. Mod.8 is plenty strong, too.
Also, the motor mount and lower plate/brace is designed to accomodate the included spur. Anything larger would require spacers and may also cause interference with the steering servo/rx box - everything is pretty snug on this little gem. :) |
Mike, now im ready:D 100$ is ready for motor mount:D Get cracking:P
I cant wait i want to buy :-)
i cant sleep until i get the kit :-) |
I am also watching this thread daily for the release of this kit.
mike you have already sold at least 4 kits, so get cracking;D;D;D;D

Brian, what do you estimate the top speed is on your truck with your setup? I have decided to base my conversion on yours. I am new to this and I want to get it right the first time around. The only thing I may change is the Tekin RX8 combo due to cost (any suggestions for a cheaper alternative?) or is it basically you get what you pay for. I hope you don't mind.
I tried your Top Speed Calculator but there was too many values that I did not know the answers to. |
My Mamba is waiting

Tommorow is no longer good friday,Im thinking it should be called hurry up and order your ten-t conversion kit so you have it for next weekend day.:yipi:What ya think umumumummmmmike? White,Black,Pink spurs ne
vermind not pink. White,or black no pokadots please.654321MOLLER |
Hmm - my stock tires are 4.5" tall and I figure they are good for at least .1" ballooning. I suspect the actual speed with your setup(BrianG) - which happens to be the same as mine - will be around 40mph.
Spurs(white - sorry I couldn't find pink with flowers) won't be ready until Saturday, so Good Friday can be reinstated. |
Wow!! I beat moller to the first post after mike anouncement of when the kit will be ready!!!!!....(jk bro ;)...anyways...great news mike!!! And for all of you ten-t owners....what diff fluids are you using??? I just switches mine to 5k in rear and 7k in front...planning 10k in center.....planning on 2650kv on 4s or 3s....
I'm using whatever it came with, but I plan to use 100k in the center with 5k rear and 7k front. BTW: 100k is not a typo.
A 2650kv motor on 4s would be ballistic unless you gear down a lot. 3s would be more driveable. I ran for 30 minutes straight on a 5Ah 4s pack with my Tekin 1900kv (buggy) system (geared 52/20) at the track tonight. |
i look every houre in the shop
i hope i´ll be the first that orders the kit  thanks tom sorry for my english i´m from austria  |
You can't be the first, because I was. :na:
100K:surprised:....you looking to do standing back flips brian????...lol....anyways...im using a 2650kv motor b/c i got a great deal on a MMM combo...i'm planning on gearing down...looking for about 40mph on the track....or maybe i'll sell this motor and get a lower KV one.....would 3s be ok to run the ten-t on a 2650kv motor????
Lol, not looking for backflips, I just don't like the front tires to unload and look like pizza cutters on hard acceleration. I might go down to 50k.
I just remeasured the tires and they are 4.25". Maybe the foam compressed a little? Anyway, on 4s, that 2650 motor geared 52/16 will get you 41mph. On 3s, you'll need to adjust gearing to 52/21 to get the same speed. It's a bit steep on the rollout, but should still be ok. |
Can i order now ?
Help meeeeeeee. :-) |
2 Attachment(s)
Can't wait to give the other 10th scalers some brushless a$$ kicking!
Attachment 8732 Attachment 8733 found these 17mm adapters in my random parts box that fit the ten-t's axles perfectly....just needed some washers to keep the wheels from backing out.....and..these adapters should fit as well http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...-T-Maxx-Blue-4 the ID is 6mm but the pin that comes with it is 3mm...you can either drill out the ten-t's axle or use the ten-t's axle pin (its 2.5mm) |

So anyway back to buisness. What do ya think about castles neu line up for this dismantled incomplete rolling chassis:whip:."1512-1518" obviously 1800kv flavor.4s or 5s-ish?
If anyone from TEKNO is keeping an eye on this post please look at my request on the "tekno support area". I want a tekno SC chassis for the ten-t (use the slash 4x4 wheel base). This will be a HUGE seller as it will make the ultimate 4x4 SC truck and it would be perfectly LEGAL! Wont take much to add the bumpers and body mounts but if you included something in the kit or holes for the RPM SC10 bumpers or even the slash bumpers it would be a nice touch!
I don't think the 10T would be legal in the SC class, Stum - the track width is too wide. It also uses 6mm axles rather than 5mm, so the SC wheels/tires wouldn't be a direct fit, either.
Almost forgot... Thanks for pointing that out Mike. Our guy who did the SC conversion is basically banned from running it at our track. We voted on rules and they voted 24-23 to not allow home-brew projects (production ONLY). I think that's kind of lame for an 'UNLIMITED' class, but that's how it goes. I'm sure Losi has to be drooling over the potential of this platform.
Lame indeed, Dan - IMO home brew projects should be allowed as long as the creation fits the description of the vehicle class being raced - especially in an "unlimited" class. The 10t is too wide, so it doesn't fit the description really, but if it did it should be allowed in my eyes. :).
